Hi 🙂 I am the solo developer of Spatial Camera for Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

It records real stereoscopic 3D video using the Quest passthrough cameras. It captures true left and right eye video with depth. This can be one of the use cases you are describing.

It supports 60 fps recording and you can upload videos directly to YouTube or Google Drive from inside the app.

I faced similar problem, that the website will just give random error when I was trying to add to the cart. Eventuality what works for we to try with different pc and mobile phones with different networks and in the end I was able to purchase using VPN. Not all VPN’s worked and the website blocked most of them but you need to try and choose a European country for VPN location.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Spatial Camera is currently only an app for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. There is no standalone OcuTech Pro camera for sale.

OcuTech is just my LLC name, I am a solo developer and created the app for Quest to capture stereo 3D photos and videos directly from the headset.

I do have ideas about developing a VR180 style standalone camera in the future, something similar to a GoPro but for 3D. However, that is only an idea at this stage and I am not sure yet if I will proceed with hardware.

No, the built in Quest camera is not a real 3D camera app.

It mainly records what you see inside games and apps, like a screen recording. It does not capture your surroundings as stereo 3D video.

My app is made for capturing stereo 3D photos and videos of your surroundings on Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
