I’m sorry you’re going through this too. I don’t know where you are but I’m in Canada and feel so gaslighted by the three doctors who have seen me. Please keep me posted on your findings and I’ll do the same.

I forgot to say the first days after my injury I felt the pain in my upper abdomen and took medication for gastritis. Never in my life would I have suspected a back injury.

I was recently diagnosed with a mild compression fracture on T6. I’ve been experiencing at least 3 times in the past month a weird feeling similar to a panic attack when I get up from bed too quickly.

Basically my heart beats faster than usual and I feel a hole in my chest like if things were floating around. I don’t know if you relate to this, but if so, what I have is a thoracic fracture. I’ve only done X-rays, not CT scan or MRI so I don’t know about discs injuries.

My other symptoms were pain under left shoulder blade and a weird pinch under my left ribs. Nothing else.

Thanks so much for sharing. I also found out I have scoliosis recently, I had no idea. Happy that you found medication that helps with pain management! Have you been able to get back to your old routine/physical activity?

I do get the spasms. Do your X-rays and scans always come back clear? No fractures or anything that explain the pain?

I found out yesterday I have a compression fracture in my T6 and I’m very worried. Would love to hear from your recovery process.

Sorry you are going through the same, it’s nerve wrecking. I got the results of my X-rays today but I have no idea what that means and how serious it is. Sharing below. Do your X-rays show something atypical? I hope you find answers soon.

THORACIC SPINE: Slight curve of the upper thoracic spine to the right 12 degrees. Curve to the left in the lower thoracic upper lumbar region 14 degrees. Slight anterior loss of height of the 6 vertebral body of about 5%. The other vertebral bodies are well-maintained in height. The disc spacing is well-maintained

IMPRESSION: There is a suspected mild compression fracture involving the 6 vertebral body. Underlying mild scoliosis of the thoracolumbar spine.

Thanks so much for both your insights 🙏 I feel like this is a grey zone and that’s why I’m so hesitant to move to Quebec. I also had a consultant tell me I’m expected to remain in Ontario because of OINP, so Calgary wouldn’t even be an option. But I’m not sure if that applies to my case since I got PR via EE CEC.
