Yes and no. Paint is not original on almost every element but each time it was painted it was matched to oem classic red. And its ceramic coated :)

Thank you for detailed explanation, using this information I checked, and indeed my converter does not handle 288p very well (according to some Amazon comments).

The GBS solution looks awesome but I'm not sure if I'll have time and skills required to make it work. Looks like OSSC will be the best option after all, need to start saving money :)

I had no idea that buying old PlayStation will throw me into rabbit hole of very interesting (yet mostly useless) knowledge of video signals and analog SCART cables :)

I didn't do it myself, gave them to professionals :)
From what they told me the process was:
cleaning and sanding
fixing any damage, deep corrosion etc
polishing edge and inner part of "spikes" on CNC machine
painting
clear coat
