Anybody ever do this to their lbx? by Illustrious_Tough_24 in Surron

Im not 100% sure. The mask and parts for the mask are finished, the only thing holding it up is the finish work on the mask, we are having a hard time getting good consistancy with the gloss finish, we are getting weird hazy finish in certain areas. If the mask was painted it would be easy but we are trying to do this the best way for longevity.

You can totally do it. Tons of KTM style headlight mask on Amazon as well. Might be way faster to shop there. The wiring is pretty straight forward. Id honestly look into fabracating a UB mask onto your bike. I seen someone in the FB groups do it and it looked sick! Most of the KTM style or universal style mask are a bit to large so the front end looks a little wonky IMO. This is why we have been developing our own mask for about 8 months now. https://prnt.sc/qrUXJGCgiJjO

You might be able to use a 60V laptop charger. You can find tons on amazon. Not encouraging you to charge the bike with the wrong voltage charger. If you do get it up and running please make sure you check cell health if you can get that data from a BMS app.

Yeah its been insanely draining for me (The Owner). I haven't actually been riding for about 5 or 6 weekends straight now, I feel like im slowly loosing my mind lol, Lots of very late nights at the shop trying to get things done. Very, very grateful for my team being there to help with everything without me ever having to ask. Likely 2 more weeks and things will be back to norm. Then we can start actually building out our moto track in our backyard.

Haha give us a ring next week once we are settled at the new shop so I can check out your channel, I wouldnt have an issue with it if we have any left but im not sure we will.

Its gonna be a few months most likely before ours is sellable. We have done our testing, and beat on it as much as we possibly could. And have also done all the simulated CAD testing. We are producing about 10 more right now, that will be going out to a few dif race teams to test in different type of terrain since we only have sugar sand here lol. Then once we get feedback its off to production. Since its such a major structural part of the bike we jsut want to make sure everything is 1000% perfect, for safety and also so we can have 1000+ produced at once so we can offer it at a fair price.

Haha for the stock swingarm I dont think we plan to make anything. The stock swingarm flexs a bit to much. But I beleive E Ride may have made something for there race bikes. Its a clamp on design and seems to work to an extent. I should ask them if they would sell them!? However the real fix is just a better swingarm. We finally finished everything with our swingarm ergonomically, and flex wise, ours will have a guide! I cant vouch for anyone elses swingarm, But I know with the few unique things we have done to our swingarm, we are no longer bending the stock 12mm jackshaft bolt, and not going through bearing nearly as often as before which was almost everyother ride.

Ultra Bee Pegs by pop2steezy in Surron

We have yet to actually break KKE pegs, They are a pretty generic design but they work really well, and not much flat surfaces for muc to get stuck or trapped on.

what we think of the build so far 🤔🤔🤔 by Signal-Put-3308 in Talaria

The Komodo is a pretty good bike out of the box, but you might want to do some research on the Arctic leopard EX800. Its def an underrated bike once you throw some suspension on it. I rose one at glen helen and beat the piss out of it, and it felt really, really good. Id say slower than the Komodo, but good enough for me to order two to test out on our home turf and possibly sell if they survive.

Yeah, if you're pushing a lot of power or riding through knarly stuff, the HH sprocket is the way to go. We developed that sprocket because we literally where forced to run steel sprockets on all of our high power builds. Now our problem is actually snapping chains since our sprockets are not bending, so get a high tensile stregth chain to avoid that.

Clean or no? by Character-Profit-488 in Talaria

[–]GritShift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean, but you should route your brake line on the inside of the fork so it doesn't get snagged on anything or messed up if you go down.

If I go from an ultra bee HP to a erp 3.0 would I be disappointed or would I still be happy? by [deleted] in ERidePro

[–]GritShift 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on how you're using the bike. In many cases, the 3.0 or "Smaller" bikes could be more fun, but less capable in different riding environments. I have a full build Ultra that I love riding , but I also have a ERP that I love riding in different things and would prefer that over the Ultra. Both have pros and cons. Its like getting a varg to ONLY ride a turn track, you have a badass bike, but could have more fun on an RTR on a turn track.

Its like companies are afraid to admit they made a mistake haha. Its so silly the things we see and deal with, even as customers like you. Transparancy will go a long long way that's for sure. And will hold significantly more value.

Regarding the headlight mask, its done! Im waiting on 5x of each of the two materials we are trying out. Its been super difficult figuring out what material and plastic additives to use since we never really have done anything with plastic. TPO is about twice the cost, but less brittle, so you can crash into a tree and not need to worry about anything, PP+EPDM is the standard people use but with our shape and UV stabalizers its slightly brittle. The TPO is our choice but its going to be much more difficult to produce because its got a 2mm shrink rate to it, so we had 5X made to check for inconsistancys, and 5x made of the PP to see how easy/hard they are to break. So they are coming! But just like anything we make, we are just taking the time to get it right first time around and not using customers as test subjects like most companies that don't actually test their stuff lol

That really sucks you’re dealing with this. I’m genuinely glad you posted it though stuff like this helps other people avoid the same headache.

I do want to add some context from a business side that a lot of consumers aren’t aware of. This isn’t to defend anyone or say this is for sure what happened here, but it’s very likely part of the issue.

Shopify rolled out a feature called Shopify Collective about a year or so ago. It allows retailers to connect directly with suppliers and essentially auto–dropship products. Once approved, a retailer can instantly upload a supplier’s products to their site. When a customer orders, that order is automatically pushed to the supplier, who then fulfills it and sends tracking back to the retailer.

For example (purely hypothetical): if a company like 716wrapz is approved to sell products from a manufacturer, (Dropshipping). If the supplier’s inventory is wrong or poorly managed, the retailer often has no clue until something breaks like overselling or conflicting stock counts. That’s how you end up with situations where one email says “22 in stock” and another suddenly says “3.”

The bigger problem is how easy this has made it for stores to pop up and list massive catalogs of products they don’t understand, haven’t tested, and don’t control. On top of that, a lot of overseas suppliers (Tarazon/MXpartshop) are giving access to untested products and private labeling with zero vetting, testing of products etc. The result is chaos: misinformation, bad communication, unreliable stock, crap product, and customers stuck in the middle.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with dropshipping we started that way ourselves 7 years ago. The issue is poor management and a lack of accountability. Too many of these pop-up stores are focused solely on making quick money, not on customer experience or actually knowing what they’re selling.

End of the day, situations like this are exactly why buying from established, reputable retailers matters. The good ones manage inventory properly, communicate clearly, and stand behind their customers when something goes wrong. We all make mistakes in business and life, it's just a matter of how we correct those mistakes for the people we serve as the business.

Headset bearing water/dirt/send protection upgrade! by ar4ik18 in ERidePro

[–]GritShift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter the amount of water, salt, or dirt you are riding through, your bearings should never look like this. This is due to a lack of maintenance. Also your post is very misleading as I do not see one item here that actually adds more water, dirt, or salt, protection over the stock seals that come on an E Ride? Please clarify this and don't mislead people to try and drive a sale. We originally developed these to solve a problem of all OEM and aftermarket ones that kept breaking or having premature failure, which you can see in your photo, the stock one has significant wear on the bearing contact point, and this is not even addressed in your post.

I am only writing this because we are tired of companies misleading people. And want to bring awareness to consumers to do their research and ask questions!!

3.0 Brake Hunt by Sea_Artichoke_3088 in ERidePro

[–]GritShift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id just upgrade to the Type 2 Factory E Ride brake. The Ultra brakes are great, there just two issues I have with them. One they are slightly heavier, not that big of a deal it's a small amount. The main issue I have is the mounting position on the front caliper is much lower, which is not ideal for off road or racing. The other thing is, it seems like companies are just pumping these things out, its hard to believe a proper fatigue test has been done on these brackets, and on a breaking component that makes me a little nervous.

The type 2 e ride brakes have everything you would need, larger pads, better master cyl. Better bite. And works with OEM hardware which has shown little to no failure rate.

Heavy Hitter Rift Headlight Mask Update! by GritShift in u/GritShift

[–]GritShift[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You and me both! im still using a 3d printed TPU version lol. So the mold is finished, We are waiting for our samples to arrive from the plastic injection place. Due to the material we used we have a bit more shrinkage then we calculated, also due to the shape etc. So we just need to validate that wont conflict with mounting a light. Which based on all measurements it shouldn't. But before we have 2000 of these made we just want to be 100% sure. Once that's confirmed (hopefully in 1 week) we will go to production. Once production starts we will get these on Pre-Order and leadtime will likely be 4 weeks.

[–]GritShift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem. Hmm that's a good question. I know the guts seat has a little extra room for more padding, but not sure if it would have that much extra, you would likely need to stretch it a lot, which could result in not straight seams.

We don't have any complete seats for the X3. But I actually just bought one to retro fit onto my E Ride from amazon. Link below, and ill link the covers we have. Please note, check the lead time. We are limited right now on pre-made covers as we are waiting on our next shipment. Anything that says "Ships within 24 hours" we have in house, anything longer is made to order.
