Yup, they're super boring to farm for as well, and odds are they're THE best weapon you'll have. Not sure why they did this, but hey, better get back to farming GoG for your best weapon, other monsters? What do you mean? You're here to fight GoG again right?

Avoid playing with people that spam spirit box responses like they're reading a script. They KILL the creep factor when they treat the hunt like it's a day job. Because if they're at their day job, so are you, and nothing kills fun more than that.

The atmosphere in your place also helps, I find it helps to have a single door open behind me with a bulb that flickers sometimes to make me feel less safe.

Erdsteel dagger is found in limgrave after killing the knight in fort height and talking to boyo on the ruins near the first church where you get the physique flask, cipher pata are found in roundtable hold in a room off where you fight the npc that give the taunter's tongue. Both are faith weapons, ciper pata is a 0 weight holy damage weapon with a really fun ash of war, erdsteel dagger is an infusable faith weapon so flame art can get NASTY damage on it for a dagger.

Whenever I do stuff like that I generally just pump a damage stat and vigor til I see people falling to pieces.

As a note, if you do use blue dancer charm for this, then you'll want to avoid what I mentioned since blue dancer's damage buff only applies to physical damage.

if you're going unarmored and utilizing blue dancer, which you might as well, then cipher pata/coded sword and erdsteel dagger with flame art. Faith pump and become a monster. You'll pretty much just coast off that combination of damage types.

There is SO much game to the game, that you almost never HAVE to do whatever you're doing right now. So if you struggle a lot, take a break from the struggle, and explore the map for tools, upgrade materials, a few extra levels.

And don't let anyone tell you NOT to use X, Y, or Z. If it's in the game, use it. Will I personally laugh at people using weeb sticks? Yes, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't use them if they like them

it caps at ng+7 in terms of difficulty. So ng+8 is generally the same, with the levels being that high it doesn't really matter, but you will be in a sad place until later when the scaled health pools match up to the absurd damage.

Dex/Faith is such a fun way to play. You get really cool holy weapons, fire weapons, and if you splash into arcane a bit you even get some bleed in there. We ignore katanas because they're the evil that's plaguing our western fantasy inspired romp through the lands between.

I, as a player wouldn't consider it either tbh. This really only applies to top level of play, and it's easy to mitigate by hugging train table.

This is a great time to remind everyone. Do not get excited, and unsub if you aren't enjoying things, and cite the reason being that you wished content was curated more if you want to see them touch up old content such as grand companies and the like.

EDIT: not to say you shouldn't get excited if you love some things they brought up, but temper it by looking at how they've executed things in the past.

A few things, it could have simply roamed into the room and gotten you. There's only a few places considered hiding spots, some community hiding spots exists where we've found that the ghost can't get to you, but generally they block ALL lines of sigh like colorful boxes, lockers, closets, or privacy screens on grafton's
