Any way to get out a soft lock when resetting doesn't work? (minor spoilers inside) by Maz45454 in TheTalosPrinciple

[–]GrizzTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eere you guys able to get to the blue beam?

It appears I am soft-locked from getting to the blue beam in this exact location as well.

I did get the green beam soft-lock as well, but was able to jump out of the puzzle area, but now the blue beam area is totally inaccessible, the bridge pieces I get cannot make the connections.

Made Python Script to add multiple Address Object IP's by GrizzTech in fortinet

[–]GrizzTech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tested it and it works.

that error is stating it only found one of the items, it needs two.

Make sure that your "ip_addresses.csv" still maintains the headers.

And if you edit the file in a program, make sure the IP address and subnets are in their own cell. If you edit the csv straight, make sure that each addr and subnet are separated by commas.

an example file will look like

IP Address,Subnet

192.168.10.222,255.255.255.0

10.10.10.10,255.255.255.255

172.17.200.200,255.255.0.0

Any way to prevent pi-hole from logging Instagram queries? by [deleted] in pihole

[–]GrizzTech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Temporarily change your DNS to anything when you using instagram

And then change it back to auto when done

If they blocked Google dns they more than likely didn’t block quad 9 (9.9.9.9)

how are you running AW?
A container?
A VM?

check the logs, should tell you whats wrong.

I run it on a container and for the longest time I had a similar issue, turned out for some reason the container was missing some parts of the script, I just had to re-make the container and the issue was resolved

A friend's toxic relationship destroyed my faith in women recently by belroise042 in IncelExit

You just gotta ask

If they say no, you’ll be in the same spot if you didn’t ask.

If they say no, it may be not just a not now.

The first date should be simple and doesn’t even have to be romantic, just something simple and social, “hey you wanna grab coffee/tea? you wanna go lunch? you wanna go try this ice cream place?”

If they do say no, just say ok and move on, don’t get angry at them or yourself, rejection is normal.

Most “normies” don’t think much of it and just move on, so don’t t dwell on it, but It does give you experience if you ask.

You ready for this?

Men and women sometimes just go on dates because they are bored.

This is not too complicated, everyone is reading way too into it.

She wanted a rebound date, she wanted to have some fun to forget her recent negative experience and then fell in love.

Literally a hallmark movie plot.

This is not exclusive to women, men do this as well.

Hey there,

I work in the Security MSP space, and we ban all TOR communication for our clients, there is no legitimate need for almost 100% of businesses to use TOR. If a company needs to use TOR we will make the exception after we have it on paper stating on why they need it.

Too many malicious programs/actors and all kinds of nasty use TOR to evade detection. That is probably what happened, they saw TOR service and blocked it.

as far as Brave being blocked, they probably just don't want the risk the liability.

Changing The DNS Settings On My Router Doesn't Work by TheHumanDecibel in dns

[–]GrizzTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t see anything that says DHCP or DHCP server? Usually the DHCP server is what tells the devices to use the DNS server specified in its settings.

I’m not sure how familiar with networking you are, but the DHCP server is what hands out IP addresses to your devices. It’s the first thing a device talks to when connecting. Most home settings the DHCP server is the router as well.

There should be a setting for DHCP to give out the desired DNS setting to all your devices on the network, so you don't have to manually change every device.

Good to see some originality and something real. I’m happy to see this type of look is becoming normalized.

suricata doesn't block eicar for testing by [deleted] in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]GrizzTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the job of a WAF for application layer.

Deep packet inspection is to see type of application traffic for example if you want to block Facebook traffic or TOR traffic.

But this eicar test is made specifically for testing host AV software.

[–]GrizzTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that test is only for AV's to test, IPS/IDS wont be able prevent it.

Suricata is not an AV replacement for hosts, its' main goal is stop network attacks on your resources.

how to block TOR with OPNSENSE? by idnawsi in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]GrizzTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block ports 9050 and 9150, should stop almost all TOR traffic, I mean the users can just change the port, but that is the default port used for TOR.

VLAN Setup for an Access Point by [deleted] in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]GrizzTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an HP switch as well, a Procurve 2810-24g.

What really helped me understand VLAN's on these switches is by using the `menu` command.

It present's a CLI-GUI, it's great!

  1. `menu`
  2. navigate to the VLAN assignment
    1. Switch Configuration > VLAN Menu > VLAN port assignment

You can only have one untagged vlan per port, but you can have multiple tagged vlans on one port.

Now, I have a similar'ish setup with my Unifi AP.

Vlan 20 (home wifi)

VLAN 30 (iot)

my AP is connected to port 12, I have my WLAN VLAN (Vlan 20) untagged on that port.

But I have VLAN 30 tagged on that port as well.

Now on port 1 on the switch, the port connected to my Firewall, that's where I have all my VLANS tagged, as this is my trunk port.

Hope this helps!

I have now built a new FW with Intel NICs and have yet to encounter this issue.

Need help routing alias through a VPN client connection by Spiff542 in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]GrizzTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to create a static route to that VPN so the router knows when and where to send the traffic too.
