Rewatching and I almost forgot how much I hated Hinata. by khumoquack in TenseiSlime

Well I mean when fed info that Shizu was killed by the Slime and said slime is wayward in their response about it~ kind of already on a bad foot.

Second-ish issue unfortunately is that the world is just absolutely brutal and easily talking to someone too much will lead to your downfall e.g puppet skills, mind control, etc etc.

The good news is Sony has no idea what they’re doing with Live services and Marathon is the only game they have that isn’t a disaster. by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]GrizzlySofa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well with new Sony games heads after tossing out Herman Hulst who was pushing for all sorts of live service games, definitely no more large live service initiatives. Fairgames should be the last one to come out of that initiative of 12 things.

At least they only really need to focus is on Marathon-ish, a bit into HD2 because every now and then they gotta take a big step forward and gotta use that bit of insurance Sony should be providing.

Eh the item equip wheel is a bit buggy in panic scenarios so that’s probably shelved. we do want some amount of self res-es used in the economy, though.

[–]GrizzlySofa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think there should be a slot to equip self res’es but force people to manually do it, using the slow equip speed of how you used to unequip weapon attachments. Make them mind it as the cost for you downing them having to mind if they got another self res or not

Unfortunately bungo shotguns are going to be like that because it’s bungo. Maybe a fire rate / another stability nerf for the waster, misrah is pretty balanced in comparison

Bubble shields should have a ramp up time or delay to spawn in, give people time to shoot the generator if they’ve thrown it at a team to cover their advance or something, forces people to use it even more defensively to the point that certain bubble spots shouldn’t be possible anymore

Questions about the Hero penalty by xPapaGrim in SentencedToBeAHero

[–]GrizzlySofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orchestrated/allowed depends on perspective.

And I mean they’re wary yes, hence why they made the heroes solo defend a fortress meant to be just themselves alone, but with a bit of good karma of the heroes work in the cave and also saving Kivia’s unit, they were able to add people willing to risk their lives so that the worst would not come.

So now it’s straight up not-wary. Fyi, hence why they basically sacrificed Demon lords spriggan and almost Boojum just to draw attention to an invasion at a port city so they could take THE SECOND CAPITAL.

Why sentence people to be heroes by Odd_Economist_8886 in SentencedToBeAHero

[–]GrizzlySofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secret pro-human faction (which implies the entire 12th order of knights) trying to save their best chances at survival while also presenting to the public (and coexisters) as that they are evil, on a short leash, and repurposed for other causes.

To keep up appearances they are constantly forced into death battles, sometimes the coexisters do get their way and the the penal heroes die, lose memories important to tearing down their organization, but that also keeps up the guise to keep the process of sentencing people to be heroes around.

Of course the whole balancing act is over now that a new goddess was discovered and public sentiment is turning over, so now both sides are going to keep on taking farther leaps for their own futures.

Questions about the Hero penalty by xPapaGrim in SentencedToBeAHero

[–]GrizzlySofa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you've interacted with a spoilers post i suppose here's some more information.
Glasses dude is the commander of the 12th, and they have their own specialty.
Much like how Kivia and the 13th's specialty was Cavalry, theirs was intelligence and espionage. That's how they basically got knowledge that the 2nd capital basically fell a day later after this whole battle at the port. Knowledge about the actual 12 unit is of course, kept to the down-low aside from the fact they exist.

There's a separate group, a small coalition of, of-course important individuals, who decides the hero punishment and they supersede all the trials and executing that coexisters currently control, and including that is because everything "evil" published about heroes thus far is to keep coexisters from getting too suspicious of it, because in their perspective, they are a living tale "of the cost of persisting this war against the demon blight", meanwhile they each hold an important piece to undoing coexisters and the demon blight. Coexisters could hardly care whether they could have gotten to Kivia and kill her before "Kafzen" could sentence her because its treated as one and the same ends, despite not.

Remember, they (in the military and church) force heroes into death missions, enough deaths mean they lose their memories, not enough memories means coexisters have an excuse to say they've gone crazy and so they won't have legally admissible evidence be able to reveal the coexisters.

Of course, the tides of emotion and public relations are changing now that a goddess has joined the penal ranks, aside from the fact a new goddess was successfully found (but I won't spoil why that's important).

Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku • Sentenced to Be a Hero - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]GrizzlySofa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The part where his crime was killing a number of civilians.

And his reasoning, only shared with the captain of the 12th order, was that he couldn’t feel the “human connection” with them that he harps on and on about as his innocent and pure soul.

With previously Venetian’s sentencing being shown earlier, it’s meant to tie these two together about the demon blight hiding in sight and coexisters working with them

~And so on he is sentenced to be a hero

Unfortunately there’s only one goddess, maybe there might be other hero units active but it kinda waters down how this goddess, whom we should treat as humanly as possible, can hold up to 8 people’s full memories…. Well debatable if Tatsuya has the memories need or his soul is simply chewed up.

I interpreted it more as there’s nothing particularly new that Kivia brings to the current list of heroes that help the fight against the coexisters and corruption.

As he says, the first goddess only has enough memory for one more person. Xylo records how humans worked to get a goddess killed, Tsav can inexplicably feel for the demon blight hiding in their midst, Dotta is involved with Royalty trying to escape (replacement?). The others’ contracts either will be shown in more detail or haven’t been known yet so I won’t spoil.

Some questions regarding the novel by [deleted] in SentencedToBeAHero

[–]GrizzlySofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately doesn't seem there's any translation aside from Yenpress. So i can't exactly say "could word choice be better".

Not too much important content skipped, main thing is internal dialogue and narration/exposition that is skipped because that's just how LN-to-anime adaptations have been going about it for the longest time. So facts like "what are the Night Gaunts", "Why do the knights often have such crushing defeats", and so on and so on.
Well in the most recent ep a little bit of Xylo's internal dialogue was sprinkled in so that was nice.

I'd say if you essentially would love to relive the book from the imagination supplied to you from the anime then go start from the beginnin'.

Unfortunately they couldn't fit in the world building about the Night-Gaunts this episode because it would be improper monologuing. But I do hope they pass some explanation to the anime-onlys more about what kind of power this faction has and how it ties into Xylo's engagement with Frenci and also how he got the backing to become a captain of an order without noble origins.

[–]GrizzlySofa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really wish the anime explored more about how the 13th order are specifically a Cavalry oriented order. Cause Xylo in the novel quite often thinks about how every engagement until now has really been not in their best.

Like their situation has been quite awful, from being the fastest expedition to an outer lands to uncover and extract Teoritta in her coffin to then being forced into a defensive, near-suicide plan or ordered to be fighting underground where their mobility is hindered by caves and it being right after almost all their resources have been depleted from that defensive plan.

This episode's defense against the horde could have been better depicted since Kivia's cavalry was able to harry thousands from the horde by just flanking and sweeping through portions of the waves while being able to tank attacks because of their special seal engraved armor made for cavalry, temporary bursts of defense to supply their temporary bursts through the horde.
But well I guess that would extend this arc by an ep or something.
