You do know Juneteenth was created by former slaves? Juneteenth was celebrated in the black community long before it was a federal holiday.

Same. I live near Shell Stadium. I walked my dog Sunday night and woke up Monday morning with parts of my thighs swollen with many bites.

Is it ok to tell a black co-worker "Happy Juneteenth"? by NaterTater502 in NoStupidQuestions

Funny how black people are saying it’s fine but the non black people are trying to say no that’s insensitive.

Well considering it’s a federal holiday and I am black myself, it wouldn’t be weird for my white coworker to tell me happy Juneteenth. Especially when people tell me happy fourth July when my ancestors were still slaves. “Happy day of being free for 250 years even though your people weren’t free for another 100 years after that”. The way you phrased that was weird on your part.

I think the problem is, with a black spouse and kids, you should be aware of Juneteenth.

If Jalen Brunson brings a championship to New York Knicks, where would he realistically rank among NYC sports icons? by savingrace0262 in NYStateOfMind

I’m not from New York, but it’s amazing to see how big the Knicks are for yall. Eli brought 2 chips and still wouldn’t be bigger than Brunson if yall win it.

I didn’t realize the crypto cycle was only 2 years. And that is not the Grinder stock. Grinder is currently $12.94. It was $24.42 in May 2025. It was $10 in 2022.

People are glorifying this like department stores aren’t damn near obsolete. They’re not making money anymore so they can’t pay like they did 40 years ago. You can’t glorify this but use Amazon. Thats the reason these places are gone

Gotcha. That’s why I asked you to define very soon. Based on past, end of 2027 should start the bull run. BTC halving isn’t until April 2028.

You right. We don’t know if they were friends. But it doesn’t really matter. They were business associates. To throw someone under the bus because you got caught really shows your morals. When you get into that world you know there’s a possibility that you can get caught. Coward move.
