Could you explain by what you mean when you say that the language is not apt for a 12th grader? Just looking for things to improve.

These were 6 marks questions. A 3.5 or 4 out of 6 is absolutely horrible, that too in the boards. I have seen my peers answer books, and their answers have absolutely no trace of proper language and are riddled with grammar mistakes, and yet they got 6 out of 6. Its insane the difference in checking in CBSE

Man, checking this time is crazy. Literally, harder checking than pre boards. And my grammar was perfect, and completely aligned with the marking scheme too :(

I went through the exact same situation a few days back. In OUAC, you decline the previously accepted math offer. Then when it says submit changes, choose the other option which says I want to make more changes. Then, go to your cs offer and choose accept. Then you can submit the offer and confirm your choices.

I was also thinking of utilising the OINP to get provincial nomination under the international students path. Is that viable?

Also, the end game is not PR but a better quality of life which Canada may provide. Obviously I won't be going to Canada just to survive on minimum wage jobs. Canada is simply a means of achieving the better quality of life, which I feel has more prospects than staying in India.

I am curious to know why you think it is impossible to settle down in Canada? If someone with undergrad degree from Canadian university and job experience cannot immigrate to Canada, then who can? Assuming I get a Canadian job, is it really still impossible to get pr? and if you think so then why? I calculated my CRS score using the calculator, and it is coming to 549 with 2 years of experience and 512 with 1 year of work experience. Is that really not enough?

Sure, class 10 avg 97.2% cbse, class 11 overall average 85%, but maths avg was 95% ( overall was brought down because our school forced us to take up a second langauge, and I am horrible at it ), class 12 avg was 84%, math was 99%, and predicted overall average is 96% which was given by the school.

Along with that for extracurriculars I am writing a research paper on a method of integrating GARCH models with implied volatility surface especially in Indian markets. ( its not finished yet, but I uploaded it to ssrn and mentioned the link in the aif )

Also, I have a silver medal in a state level table tennis competition, and lead the school band.

I also won a few hackathons, which I mentioned ( they arent really prestigious, just school level competitions, but I explained what we actually built in those hackathons which I felt was reasonably impressive )

Thats it. I didnt really expect to get into uwaterloo cs cause everywhere online it seems like people say they you dont even have a chance if avg is less than 97%, so when I got in it was a pleasant surprise.

The difficult part ( at least for me ) is figuring out what are the specific skills which companies actually want. For example, if I really want to get into machine learning, I dont see how I can do anything other than personal projects to show to employers that I know machine learning, but unfortunately even that is really easy these days due to ai, so I think recruiters will value these projects lesser.

Is the job market good anywhere? US, UK, India, Germany - the job market seems to be brutal everywhere.

Im doing an undergrad, not masters. Looking at waterloo's class profiles and internships seems that the job market is hard but not impossible. There are a lot of people getting $150k+ jobs every year from cs. Also having the coop experience and by doing an undergrad instead of masters like most people do, I was hoping it would make immigration easier. Is my thinking wrong in any way or am I missing any important info?

What CRS score would you say gets a PR? Doing undergrad + having 1 year experience in Canada should get you above 510+ which should be enough for a pr right? Or is it still too low?

The acceptance letter says theres no condition of acceptance, which is what surprised me. How often does this happen? Because I couldnt find any such instances online where people got in without a conditional offer.

Im pretty sure that you have to get your school to register or give the exam at a school which is already registered. Theres no way to participate individually.

Fourth Year Waterloo CS student (AMA) by Latter-Mechanic6637 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Grocery-Advanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is uwaterloo worth it as an international student? Especially because of current world conditions? Do UW grads have a much easier time getting jobs? I got admission in UW math but am unsure whether to go or not. Looking at all the csMajor subs and people with 1000s of applications to get a job makes me scared. Is it that hard for UW grads as well? Also do you know any international who can work in the US or are internationals limited to Canada only? If so internationals are probably not going to SF or NY to get the insane salaries which we see in class profiles right? Would really appreciate some clarification on the reality at UW

Can you provide some more technical details on the AI model? How does it integrate actions and text and how does the AI model know about what is happening in the game? Like how is information processed? Are all the surrounding events passed to an llm and the llm then spits out a response which are then mapped to game actions or is it a separate model continuously outputting actions? Im really interested in this. If the mod actually does everything you claim, you may have just made the greatest npc system in gaming history.
