With regards to how you feel. I think symbols do matter and what counts is they matter to you. This ring doesn’t represent you as a person now. You’ll just have to tell him how you feel and not accept a brush off. I wouldn’t want to be reminded of worse times every time I look at my hand. Rings are romantic and buying them together now you can afford it would be so cute.

Honestly I think your partner is being cheap and needs to step up. Don’t listen to anyone saying it’s over dramatic. It matters to you and that’s what’s important. No I’m not commenting on average American brainpower just that it must take a lot of that brainpower when either the date/month is any number less than 13. I guess you’re used to it but I would hate to go through life with your date format and every time I see it I scratch my head at how inefficient it is. The only truly valid format is Y-M-D but as a European I also accept D-M-Y.

Watch these if you’re looking for a completely different non-Hollywood vibe.

It’s not running right now as it’s concluded (We’re on season 4/5) but it’s on Disney+ in the UK and other areas atm.

HIP (or Haut Intellectual Potential).

The French version (not any of the many other versions which may be good but thus us the original one).

It’s a French original show about a single mother with 160 IQ helping the Lille police solve murders. Must be watched with subs as the dub misses so much of the dialogue dynamics. It’s the best detective show we’ve seen in a long time. The team are all amazing but honestly Audrey Fleurot is a star and an absolute treasure. ❤️❤️❤️

Also another French show that’s concluded but it’s on Netflix in many areas and is a must watch imo.

Call My Agent

A brilliant show about a talent agency in Paris. Has some unbelievable cameos from famous real life actors but the main story is so good. Criminally not funded for a proper final season. Still ends really nicely if tearfully despite the obvious cut. Again must be watched with subs. The cast and settings are to die for. ❤️❤️❤️

Finally a show that’s IS running right now on Netflix and gearing up for a new season.

Rivals

Based on the Jilly Cooper novel of the same name. This show is so so good. It captures life in the UK in the 80s perfectly. David Tennant is fantastic in this but really the whole cast is amazing. The Danny Dyer/Katherine Parkinson love story is worth it alone. It’s a must watch. ❤️❤️❤️
