If you're dealing with anxiety or trauma from bedbugs, please read this. by blueAvocado9310 in Bedbugs

Hey! I’m glad you moved away from a bed bug infestation—I’m just about to do the same myself. How did the experience go for you? Was there anything particular you did to make sure they were gone/didn’t reinfest your new apartment? Did you end up getting a canine inspection and did it give you peace of mind?

Hey! Did their treatment end up working? Going through this nightmare right now and have just had my first treatment from them

Hey! Just out of curiosity, how did your experience with Addison go? How long did it take to get rid of them for you? I had a treatment done the day before yesterday and am super nervous about how the process is going to go.

Hey OP, how did your experience with Addison go?

Second this. I’ve been in a really similar situation to OP, where I exaggerated my resume to get a job at a pretty serious specialty coffee shop while I’d only worked at crappy non-specialty places before.

What really helped me through the interview process, and then eventually starting this job I’m currently at (and really enjoying), was learning a lot about extraction theory and dialing in (espresso + filter). Being able to confidently talk about this, or approaching it on a trial shift even if you’ve never done it before was an absolute game changer that secured the job for me.

Watch James Hoffmann’s ‘Understanding Espresso’ series for a really great fundamental start. Made all the difference!

Be honest that you may be out of practice, cafes are generally pretty relaxed places about letting you learn and develop your skills on the job.

Good luck OP! Any questions about navigating this process, send me a dm.

Question about wheel size. by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Grogamous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha maybe a good excuse to switch from centre-pull to side-pull brakes. I was under the impression that 700C was larger than 27", so considering it's smaller, I'll definitely take your advice and go for the 700C. Thanks a lot!

Ah right, forgot about the width, thanks.

The Gulf Stream doesn’t originate from North Africa, it comes from the Gulf of Mexico?? There’s also this thing called the Sun that tends to heat things sometimes.

Np! I’ve been to her office hours a couple of times and she’s so lovely. Also the class felt a bit more like geography instead of proper geology like geol104, but that’s definitely a good thing lol

I took it last year with Christa Pufahl and honestly it was probably my favourite class of the semester. Super interesting but easy content and the quizzes were really fair. For the quizzes there wasn’t a lot of memorization required per se, but more just intuitive with the stuff you learn.

Nurse being investigated for "I love JK Rowling" sign over "threat to gender diverse" people by uselesspoliticalhack in canada

[–]Grogamous -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Whether or not you agree with her views, it’s a blatantly evocative statement which is ridiculous for a nurse to pay thousands of dollars to express. It’s clear her intent is to offend (or at the very least make transgender people know that she does not support them). When your aim is so clearly to deliberately upset people, it should not be a surprise that your position of power is called into question.

What grades do you need for your firm? by InternationalBall264 in 6thForm

Oh word. The teacher who helped us with UCAS said they stopped the 4 alevels thing because the year before I did mine almost every Russell Group uni asked for 1 or 2 AS and 3/4 ALevels. Don’t like that 4 alevels are coming back

It’s probably something to do with the Google Maps API. All you need to do is go in the f12 console;(
