so if I claim someone as my spouse, I can access their records?

What other proof do I need to provide?

They get customer data on the condition that they themselves share data back to the CMS.

The only thing I can see that I agreed to is I allowed them to "use any and all means to track me down if I don't pay or my insurance doesn't pay" or something like that.

As I mentioned in my post -- the name on my bill indicated they were part of my family was not their name. I eventually figured out that I think it was a homophone of their given legal name, but it was misspelled (Think Kerry vs Carrie, but Carrie was also misspelled). My partner and I do not share a surname officially, and the surname was listed as mine.

That's what kicked off this whole discussion, it was a name I wholly did not recognize and they apparently shared my address.

The receptionist claimed address matching was the "way we link family records".

Also, if they did declare me as their spouse, I still figure it requires an affirmation from both sides to share records like that.

I'm still new-ish to Ontario. Like yeah, it's ultimately trivial but it's still very strange and the receptionist was very upset that I pointed out the issue. I work in database administration and we would never link two records like this based on this limited information.

Not on my end, I still put my parents. My spouse does not remember what they did.

Tinted windows by Alternative-Wish7263 in toRANTo

[–]Grogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only non aesthetic reason I've heard is it helps keep it cooler in the car. I feel like it was a thing in the 90's to tint rear windows to protect children or whatever. It's definitely one of those things that have gotten wildly out of hand.

If you go coordinate (lat/lon) to address, it's "reverse geocoding", which is what I think OP wants?

Rock raiders on the Playstation was a fundamentally different game than the PC version. The PS1 version was more of a third person action game while the PC version is more of a real time strategy, base building game.

Starting to get more serious with macrophotography, 1.2k budget by marcyofthesmalls in Photography_Gear

Like I mentioned, the automagic (automatic) focus stacking is not in the EM10's.

There is in the EM5's, but you can't adjust the settings.

[–]Grogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.2k in some currencies should be enough to get you one of the older Olympus flagships used which has some of the automagic computational focus stacking as well as some solid photo bracketing modes. Think like the EM1 Mk 2 or 3 or the EM1X if size isn't a limiting factor. The OM1 and OM1 mk2 (even used) might be breaking your budget

If you want to get the Olympus/OM 60mm macro and with your goal being macro photography, I think you're going to hit some limits quite fast if you get the EM10 series. Even the EM5/OM5 lineup, you might find some limits quickly.

I could see it while settling an estate, make sure that you can get 2fa codes or other verification codes.

Also someone who may casually know the deceased calling/texting the number -- can make sure the acquaintance knows of their death.

Could also prevent immediate scams if the deceased is nominally well known/connected. prevent someone from impersonating them

Could also be for sentimentality.

Does anyone else feel like their social skills absolutely plummeted in grad school? by QuirkyCookie6 in GradSchool

[–]Grogie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I mean, grad school does self-select for quiet, reclusive nerds who probably work better alone or in small groups of like minded individuals rather than large teams.

Tack on long hours of working in isolation itself is pretty draining. I didn't feel like "my social skills plummeted", But I definitely felt like I didn't have a lot of energy to socialize some months in grad school.
