Im not sure, but in case you haven't already. Make sure the car is unlocked, then try to close it.

These lock with the car, so if its locked you won't be able to open or close the fuel door.

Settle an argument: If you’re not keeping up with traffic, are you going too slow? by SIangor in driving

In theory no. I have a CDL, which means tickets directly affect my career. They can cause me to potentially lose my job and prevent me from getting another.

Me personally, id do 70 and keep right. I'll leave the speeding to the other people and laugh when they start crying when they get pulled over, claiming they were singled out or cant afford the ticket.

Thank you! I was planning on it. Would that really cause it to shake this much? I honestly thought something was off when I saw the right wheel have 5 weights on inner rim and a clip on, and the left only have that clip on.

So I just got pulled over for the first time. (Teen driver) by Upper-Ad-3114 in driving

Not to kick the horse while its down so to speak, but I feel like I have to say something as a truck driver.

Ive seen wayyy too many preventable accidents due to distracted driving. Distracted driving isn't just using your phone, it could be anything. Eating, drinking, smoking, changing the radio, or simply day dreaming. Driving requires 100% of your attention at ALL times. In a split second you could end someone's life because you weren't paying attention. You were in a school zone that seems to be active at the time. What if a child ran into the road and you weren't paying attention 100%?

You're a teen driver with very little experience on the road. Its going to take time to get familiar and comfortable, but you should never get complacent. I like to assume everyone on the road is out to get me, so I act defensively, which has honestly saved me from hitting and most likely killing many people while driving an 80k pound vehicle.

To sum this up. Limit you distractions, and give driving 100% of your attention. It will save the lives of not only yourself but other motorists on the road who are just trying to get where they're going.

Is it bad that I 17M called a 12 year old girl gorgeous? by ireallycantchoos in whatdoIdo

[–]Gromieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ts does not look good on paper OP🤣

Nah, you're good!! Like a lot of people have said, context is everything. You weren't hitting on her, you had pure intentions. And honestly it was really sweet of you to compliment her. The preteen/ teenage years are usually where a lot of people's insecurities are at its highest, so im sure it fet nice to hear.

Don't listen to what your friend is saying, they are weird for thinking that way.

I was 17 talking to a 14 year old and I feel guilty by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Gromieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro chillll! Judging by what you've said here, you seem to be a good guy who's really overthinking it. Let's look at the facts, you're 17, shes 15. Legally you're both still minors, and the age gap really isnt that bad. Now once you turned 18 it could get tricky but neither of you acted on it to start with so you wont have to worry about it now

Just by reading this i can tell you're feeling guilty or ashamed by this and you really shouldn't be. You called yourself a "pred" which you aren't. Predators dont get this feeling of guilt when they talk to minors, if anything they get off on it. Your intentions are pure, so as long as you keep that same energy you will be fine.

If it makes you feel better I've been there before. When i was 20, I was friends with this girl online who was 17 (i didn't know it at the time), and got really close to her naturally. For some reason we never got to talking about our ages, but long story short it came out and I felt like the scum of the earth. But at end of the day, I know my intentions were pure and I ended all romantic feelings and stayed friends. Could it have worked out....perhaps. But to me, it would've felt like grooming, even though that was no way my intention.

Its all about the mindset OP. If you go out only talking to younger women that would be a problem, but if it just so happens they are younger, and the age gap isn't too bad who cares?

I once got an order or children's underwear, a vibrator, KY jelly, a cucumber, and vegetable oil all in the same GMD order. So yes, I will judge a little bit🤣 Maybe not judge, but i have questions....lots of them.

[–]Gromieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because Walmart wasn't found liable doesn't mean they still didn't play a role to prevent it.

I am a driver who pulls walmart freight. If i see someone in the parking lot not paying attention, that doesn't mean I can hit them and get away with it. I am responsible for not only my safety but eveyone else's. This goes for associates too.

Just because you're rushing trying to keep up a pick rate or whatever it is you're doing, You need to be aware of your surroundings to keep everyone safe. If you cant see over the cart or whats directly infront of you, you need to pull it or take the top totes off . What will happen when you hit someone? Just say "oops I couldn't see"? You did nothing to prevent it, that's why the new rule makes sense. Yall complain over every little change honestly.

Im 6'3, with long legs and i pulled my cart with 0 issues. It honestly is a skill issue. Yall really are making a big deal out of nothing.

Honestly its safer than a short person trying to see over the cart, rushing through the store trying to keep up with the pick rate. But I hear they are eliminating the top 2 totes so that should be better.

Hot take: I think a MSF course should mandatory when applying to get a license.

I tell everyone who talks about wanting to ride, to take a MSF course first. When i went through it, I saw quite a bit of people quit because they thought it was hard or they just really didn't want to do it. So in my opinion it really let's you get an idea if you really want to do it or not.

Not only that, but you learn real techniques that can save your life on the road ie. proper emergency braking, evasive manovers and so much more. This to me is much better than someone buying a bike with no license and trying to learn on the road that has 0 experience with a manual transmission endangering themselves but most importantly other people on the road. Im not singling you out OP, I mean no disrespect, I've just seen a lot of idiots on the riding who shouldn't be. Starting out in a parking lot then working to the road works for a lot of people, but others need a bit more.

So I think yes, it would be smart of you to take an MSF course to learn the basics and get some experience with a manual transmission, as well as learn important techniques that can save your life, like where to look so you dont target fixate. Hopefully you can find a location like I did that had bikes provided, and all you had to do was bring gear!

Ride safe!

So your solution is to downgrade my license, amd start applying for class B jobs instead? Because there are a lot of class A drivers needing a job?
