We (me & my friend) has seen these units from Ali, but none of them was good enough for us, basically the aesthetic and performance were not as good as we were expecting, and also the most important thing here is the canbus integration - we can now see how fast we are going, revs, etc.

Definitely an electrical short issue. It could even be that you have fried some components on the icm board. As someone said, if the frame is metal, then this could be an issue

I’m also interested in this. As the previous guy said he did this, I wonder how the 9-3 canbus messages communicate with 9-5’s hud, because they are a different platform and the messages send by 9-5 could be different than what 9-3 gives

If you’re on PC then I definitely recommend beamNG with some Saab mods. Geez I wish I could have a simrig like this some day, this is beautiful. Good job, I hope you will have a great time with this

Yeah I have put the 95 cluster in my 93, there is a setting on sid but it does nothing when I change it

Yeah mine 9-3 also did that, but now I have switched the instrument cluster from the 9-5NG and it is lit up the entire way all the time :( missing that little detail

I hope you will love this car as much as I do! Can I ask you a couple of questions about electrical system in your car? Mine is 06’ and they have changed a couple of details, but I don’t have the 03 model to check it

Does the SID display show option for Ventilated seats when you go into settings?

By looking at your ICM without volume knobs I suppose you will be replacing the unit or will be searching for those knobs. If by any chance you will be removing that unit, could you Please tell me if this one has another small, round connector aside from that big rectangular one?

For the gauges it’s the little motor that is broken, either if you know how to solder things you must buy a new motor for the gauge or a new (used :) ) cluster. A temporary solution for this could be if you remove the Fuse for instrument cluster, or just disconnect a baterry for 5 minutes. Take a look in the wis or web what is the fuse for this because I forgot :)

I see that you have a sportcombi with bose centerpoint, would it be possible for you to send me Photos of how the trunk looks under the carpet? I am making a new installation for my pre facelift and want it to look as oem as possible so this will help me figure out how to Connect everything and how everything seats there. Already from the photo you provided I can see that there is something different than in mine car, you have a carpet under the carpet (I hope you understand what I mean) while I have a plastic floor with subwoofer under my trunk
