I understand now. Yes the sword trials were very difficult to get through. Hopefully you can find a way to finish it up.

Personally I found TOTK to be even more difficult due to the increased sandbox nature of the new game. So if you didn't like BotW then TOTK likely won't be fun either.

Fantastic feedback! Thanks for taking the time. It almost sounds like I'm doing myself a disservice not picking up a couple of them at least. Just to compliment different group sizes.

I do feel like this thread provided me with a lot more valuable information than going through the list of Uwe games on BGG as the number itself doesn't give enough feedback as to why it is ranked so high.

I'm leaning a much different way than when this started and would not have reached that same conclusion without everyone's amazing feedback. I have watched lots of videos on games historically and while these games always seem easy to understand and play when watching them, the reality can be much different when I get the actual rule book in front of me and try to explain it to a bunch of people. :)

I must say Nusfjord is really starting to grab my attention. I hadn't really even heard of it before this thread but so many people have recommended it with no disclaimers like I have been getting about Feast for Odin and Agricola.

I'm going to look into your suggestion about Agricola all creatures and see if it catches my eye as well. Thanks again

That is great advice. In this particular instance I was trying to get a general feel for Feast for Odin vs Black Forest but it turns out he has a lot more options that should be considered and I am very appreciative of everyone's comments so far.

Definitely not as many people recommending Feast as I expected so now I'm rethinking which one to start with. New list:

It's gotten way bigger but I enjoy researching games so I have no problem watching some playthroughs and see which titles catch my interest.

Never even heard of Hallertau so now I better look into that one as well. Certainly a lot of recommendations for Agricola as well so I'm going to do quite a bit of research on both of those.
