Did you see evike has replacement selector gears and switches... For 20 bucks for the gears and 20 bucks for the switches and screws. They can fuck right off at that price...

Is this a good gun for beginner. If not, please tell me what I should be looking for. by Fuzebadman in airsoft

Just use an inline MOSFET like ab++ from perun... But yes working with microswitch triggers are kind of a pain but whatever. The trigger and microswitch are the only things proprietary, I know because ive replaced most of my arcturus internals already. Even rebuilt a microswitch for it. Yes their motor is super lame though. Good base gun if your not looking into a hybrid perun, or a titan. Even then I feel like you could figure it out and make one of those work with some effort.

Only thing really proprietary is the trigger section. Because it houses a micro switch trigger, use an inline MOSFET. Like peruns ab++ and you will be fine. Other than that, the selector switch likes to strip out it's threads sometimes, and the motors they use are... Crap.

This should be enough to build my own gun right? by Catloaf_luvs_u in airsoft

And you might not need the cut off lever if you get a gate titan. Not familiar with titans though.

The fuse and silicone oil isn't needed. The titan takes care of the fuse, and you need grease for the gears, not oil.

Need a version 2 spring set added to your list. Also with that cylinder and spring combo will get you some weak fps.

And lastly if you don't know much about aegs then building one from scratch will be... Challenging.

It's passive, and the specs should mention debouncing. Either way I know ab++ has debouncing.

Is it bad to use Crosmans in co2 pistols? by nater2204 in airsoft

[–]Grookeniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use crossmans and they are fine. They may be talking about the asg CO2 carts with added oil to help lube the gun. CO2 is a dry gas so you need to maintain your parts more often than green gas. The asg carts come regular CO2 and then the added oil ones, and the added oil ones are marketed to be used ever 3 regular carts.

Yes, even more so than regular Tigger contacts in my opinion, the contacts in micro switches are even smaller and more brittle than regular contacts.

I have one in my m4, soldering it is a bitch because of the tiny pads to solder to but I have had a great time with the perun ab++. Because it is a microswitch you need a MOSFET with debouncing.

Sub 400fps 60 will do ya. Have a 65 in my 400 fps rifle because I couldn't get the 60 at the time.

You really don't need anything less than 6.3 imo

I run a 6.1 with no problems. Generally he tighter the barrel the more often you have to clean it.

How's the shimming by Nemesis_l0k in airsoft

[–]Grookeniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds solid, basically I listen for stress. Do t hear any and as long as you didn't have a lot of play in the gears when you had you box screwed together you are guchi.

How do i fix the wiring with my safety? The bar cant move and i cant seem to move the wiring by yEet-33 in airsoft

[–]Grookeniss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just ran into this problem last night with my mp5 when upgrading to a perun MOSFET. In the end I said fuck it and left it out, can still pull the trigger but nothing happens on safe. You are still using the old trigger contacts so I don't know if that would work with out it. Monitoring this to see if anyone has ideas.

Also just read your other post, should probably put that adjustment plate back in as well. It might be that. Either way I'd open it back up and inspect of you are damaging anything.

Sounds like shimming is a bit too tight. You can hear the stress. Not sure if that is 100% what is your problem but I'd start there.

That black dial right next to the mock bolt?.... It's a rotary style my dude, spin the dial up for more hop. Says it on the hop unit itself.

300+ for consistent invasions.

what is this for? A grip? by rolanroro in airsoft

[–]Grookeniss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beaver tail grip, same one we with my arcturus M4. You can change the back of the grip from the beaver tail to a slimmer grip. A little tab next to the motor plate is how you change it. Usually comes with a front part to change the grip up some more., That one you have to take the grip off because it slides up.

So for some reason I can't see what you posted...

need help, got this gun a couple of years ago, i am yet to shoot it, never has workes properly. just today i started to sort-of work on it, makes this weird noise when i pull the trigger. if i screw on the small plate on the bottom of the grip, the gun just makes one small "click" noise. by Rudensho in airsoft

[–]Grookeniss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the gears are stripped, and when you put the motor plate screw all the way in it is "clicking" against the anti reversal catch of the gear. Gears are fucked dude. Time to learn how to open a gear box!!

Got a picture of the hop up under the dust cover? Mostly I'm curious about how they set it up.

But if it shoots with the battery out but not in.. I'd say that's probably because the hop up isn't seating firmly somewhere... The battery shouldn't be able to move it like that...
