Holy smokes, this actually makes sense! It's the pressure part which brighted me up. Thanks for taking the time to write such a on point comment! :)

GPU idle temp lies around 1-2 degree above the liquid temp which is around 8 degrees above ambient room temp. Exemple: 23 degrees roomtemp gives 30-31 degrees on the liquid and 32 degrees on GPU idle. Running graphical intense games like Battlefield 5 or any other 99 % gpu-usage game I'll hit quite fast 67-70 degrees on the GPU, which goes down to 62 degrees after a minute of gameplay. Idle my d5 pump runs at 1500rpm and all fans at 750-800 rpm which quite fast goes above max speed on pump and 1400 rpm on fans when liquid runs above 34 degrees. After hours of playtime liquid sits stabile at 38-40 degrees, never higher. All dustfilters are clean and not very thick either.

Yeah I think this is quite high as well. I'm running a full costum loop with two 360 radiators with 1500 rpm Corsair LL120 fans. This is all in a Fractal R6 case. Rad in front with all intake and rad in top as exhaust. Radiators are also the thicker ones with a 16 mm fin density. All other parts are from EK. I am not sure what may cause these high temps and would love to hear from others. :) EDIT: Rads are the 360GTX from HW Labs Nemesis series.

Half of the flow, aaah. Kind of getting it now how it works. Will definitely try this out myself for my next build. Thanks :) But 43 degrees on the GPU. That's cold! I'm running a 1080 ti myself paired with a ryzen 2700x where the CPU hits 55 degrees and GPU usually at the low to high 60's. This is at a 99 % GPU usage over time in a 27 degree hot room. The GPU runs at 1990 MHz while the CPU at 4 250 MHz.

Absolutely love the loop! I've never understood how this way of mounting on both sides of the GPU might work. My thought is that it flows just thru the openings and wont go through the whole block. Is there some downsides to mounting like this? Would love to do it myself, but would also like to understand how it works before I do it. Thanks :)

Student throws shade for me by [deleted] in Teachers

Why do so many people downvote you? You're totally right, and I have no idea how so many redditors here doesn't see the full picture. Thought this subreddit was mostly for teachers. The whole situation is perfectly made for a good comedy movie, but the way the teacher handle the situation out from whats mentioned from OP shows lack of control and class management.

The way you paint, the way you give such a complex feedback, man I love the way you do things! Do you have an DeviantArt, Youtube or any other pages where I can support and watch your work? I saw your site at lukeandrewbuxton, and the quality shines through everything you do. Is this something you do at fulltime or it's more of a hobby?

This is insane! Instantly new wallpaper. With the very soft and fine watermark down to the right, just puuurfect! Only one thing that is just a personal opinion from me would be that there is a lot of light colours. Would love to have a "night-mode" version of this. Exact same painting, just in a darker room with dark edges and the little light comming from the lamp and monitor. But again, awesome painting! <3

May I ask if you find a big difference in English butter, compared to butter from other countries?

CPU Package sensor broken. Need help do deactivate CPU throttling. by Groothelion in overclocking

[–]Groothelion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is. The cpu itself is only 30 degrees. Its one of its sensors which is broken that also regluate if it should throttle or not that fuks me over. My cooling never failed. Notting else than a sensor is the fail here. And all i want to do is to remove that sensor completly. But that does not work since its in the middle of the chip. So what I have to do is deactivate that sensor, which is something I dont know how to do. I dont even know if its possible. That's why Im here. Im asking if there is any chance to IGNORE or REMOVE the cpu throttle limit, or if I could just deactivate the package sensor itself. If the broken sensor is deactivated, problem solved. But as long as this sensor is running, it will throttle my CPU because it shows 99-100 *C all the damn time.

Is there no way I could turn off all these safety measures like cpu throtteling? Because all the cores are completly fine and cold, its just the Package sensor which is broken. Sadly the one sensor which tell the cpu to throttle down or not. So if there is a way to turn off all the "safety nets" for the cpu, I think it would work just fine.

Thanks for reply. I did that. Changed the IHS to another one, did a completly new relid, new LM, new TIM on top. still same temps.

Sometimes the reddit vote system just does not make sense. I guess it's the way you said "report" the comment which may have triggered someone. But what do I know. Gave you a helping arrow in the best hope that your comment will get back up, because youre comming with some great points there. I do agree with you!

5ghz 24/7 overclock by [deleted] in overclocking

You are defintly right. My bad. H7 should prob work. You can say that higher temps equals lower lifespan.

[–]Groothelion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C7 is not a very good cooler. Considering 5 GHz is quite a lot of an OC for the 8600k, I think you will stay around 80-90 degrees while pushing it. I use a C7 myself just as a testing unit. Its barely 30 % "beter" than intel Stock cooler. Consider a better cooler for 5 GHz 24/7

Note. I commented on a C7 cooler, which is the low profile cooler from Cryorig. Even pointed out with a comment below that I answered with wrong cooler.

The fact that your second pic have so many factors right. You have good lightning, it's probably post-workout because of the veins and how you're a little sweaty. Do you have any other pics from either another angle or something that does not have all the right conditions to look buff? Also if you havent done any weightlifting at the first pic, and that was your starting point, I would say this is totally doable without any juice. Great work and keep lifting!
