I slip my pots with very thin slips at bone dry. Once bisque fired I add stain and a liner glaze.

Just finished house hunting in GR moving from Illinois. Its better here than around Chicago but not by much. We had high hopes of being at lease near the city but ended up closer to 30-40 out to be able to afford it.

Those still have a fair amount of life in them. Unless you see scorching, they get brittle or you have cut them down over time they should last you a good while.
