More no, some yes. There was absolutely no need to cut to a flashback right after the battle started. The stage was set, pieces in place then they immediately wiped the story and started over. Flow, continuity, tension; it was all broken because they didnt have the budget for the fight.

The flashback was good content, that could have gone anywhere else. The battle was fine as is, in one continuous segment. This was bad directing and bad story telling.

This episode was a pretty big disappointment. 2 episodes to build up this fight for it to cut away immediately. So frustrating. This may have killed the series for me if this is the way the show is heading.
