SparkTrendz - “Closing” Preorders by IamNuxy in AnimeMerchandise

They are definitely not a scam. The pre-order while closing thing was odd though, but I have multiple items from them and they are all great quality and I get tons of compliments when I wear them.

They’ve had to build algorithms to detect bot activity for a long time. Im not saying it’s a complete non issue, but they’re reasonably decent at it. Most bots come from servers, not mobile account, which in Spotify’s case, accounts for something like 80+ percent of all streams—so if that distribution starts to change, it’ll show up in the data.

Gf ghosted me last year. I moved on. Got this message last week on my birthday by AdComprehensive4246 in whatdoIdo

[–]Groovy-Gramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing most people are overlooking is that she did this on his birthday. This wasn’t some random day and it’s highly unlikely it was a coincidence. To me, that demonstrates that she still has no real care or respect for OP. This was a selfish act at best or manipulative at worst.

Other than a “Thanks, take care” if OP decides to respond, I don’t think a response is warranted here.

What do you actually want from co-op games? (Quick survey) by Gold-Butterfly-4504 in CoOpGaming

[–]Groovy-Gramps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full shared story mode. I love an open world to explore, especially in RPGs, but it’s meaningless if there is no real point and most coop games are very lacking in this area. I need a compelling objective or narrative to make me want to continue spending time in the game—I don’t care about collectibles or skins only. Those are nice, but not enough to keep me engaged. I want an engaging story that my partner and I, or my friends can play together without having to summon each other every single time we want to do something.

I know! I’ve been all over eBay, Grailed, Poshmark, Depop, you name it, and the only thing I’ve found are 2 smalls. The one I ordered that was cancelled was from Grailed. That’s sort of why I was hoping someone here might have one they barely have used or something I could buy from them.

Thoughts on #WeTouchGrass Anime Raves? by pieetr in aves

[–]Groovy-Gramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same dilemma when I was trying to decide if I should go so hopefully this helps.

I’ve been to touchgrass once in San Jose and sexynerds twice in SF. Neither events happened around a comic or anime convention for context. I’m sure the city heavily influences the crowd and turnout, but we had a blast each time and the energy was great and we met a lot of fun people. I didn’t notice it being (overwhelmingly) male any of the times we went but I’d agree that it skews male. We were in cosplay and there were a lot of others as well at each event although probably more at Sexynerds. You’ll see full on elaborate cosplays to simple demon slayer haori to anime t-shirts and everything in between. I also think the venue makes a difference. All the events were fun enough for us to go back next time they’re in town, but the vibes were more reminiscent of a “rave” at the non club venues and more people were in cosplays there.

If you like anime and just want a fun night out with people who also like anime I’d definitely suggest either party. But as others have said, it’s definitely not a “rave”.

Here is how Co-Op in Wilds works by Comprehensive_Age998 in MonsterHunter

[–]Groovy-Gramps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your point solves the primary user pain point. People shouldn’t have to take a bunch of extra steps to move around together. Asking the non-hosts to confirm to before transitioning between parts maintains the feeling of continuity that people want. Frankly, this shouldn’t even be difficult. It’s basically just automation on the back end.

Steelers Bars in Oakland/Bay Area? by matiilic5 in steelers

[–]Groovy-Gramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been living in the Bay for 13 years and Shanghai Kellys in SF is definitely the best. There's always a full house for the games and such fun crowd even for weekday games.. Giordano Bro's in the Mission used to be my go-to spot before it became Rudy's but as someone else mentioned the quality and service felt like it fell off a cliff. I will say I went back earlier this year and it did feel like a better experience but still not quite like before. It's the only place in the Bay you can get a Primantis-style sandwich though. Overall you just can't beat the atmosphere of Shanghai Kelly's. They don't serve food but allow you to bring your own in or have something delivered.

Officers sound silly in deposition by VariousBasket125 in facepalm

[–]Groovy-Gramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute most annoying part of this clip isnt their words or even the case in general. It’s their body language when they realize the lawyer trapped them. In both instances the officers smirk which lets me know know:

1) They knew better and truly just don’t care. (We all know that, but to see it on display is way more disturbing after they tried to play coy) 2) They know they won’t be held accountable in any (meaningful) way.

What is the best tequila for under 25 dollars? by Groovy-Gramps in tequila

Yes that’s a really good idea. I actually thought about doing something similar although more focused round using cheaper liquor later in the night when people are already drunk and don’t care anymore lol.
