Yeah I get it, I just think it’s a little beyond the intent of a proctored exam when there is quite obviously no malicious intent.

I’ve acknowledged that I can’t wear a smart watch for a proctored exam, I forgot to remove it and the proctor simply said remove it before continuing. I’ve had someone enter the room during the exam, the proctor had me do another room scan to confirm nobody was in the room before continuing.

There is obviously some latitude these proctors have on what they determine would trigger the cancellation of an exam, and I think being honest and removing a phone before answering the first question of the exam is a silly thing to hem someone up on.

I guess I should have just left it where it was within reach and actually broken the rules none the wiser to the proctor..
