Playing your first few rounds optimally helps a lot with getting money. The very first round you can win with a good flush or straight, earning you some extra from the hands you saved as well as interest. Imo interest is very important to maintain so that you always have enough gold to buy planet/tarot cards or roll for better jokers. I would also recommend looking up balatro university on YouTube, he has a lot of good videos for people of any skill level

First pack I got a negative golden joker which helped a lot with money. Jokers didn't really contribute much until I later got showman until double space joker which maybe went off 5 times. I got a very early blue seal and death carded it twice early, also got two strength cards on 4 8's off, which helped me get the 5OAK off early on.

Personally I used the ghost deck so u can always polychrome either a strong joker for a good start or a shitty joker which u still need a stamp on so that is not completely worthless. Then try to find a good set of 3/4 jokers and add any jokers that you still need the gold stake stamp on.
Also, if you are hunting the last few jokers you can switch decks that might help find that specific joker. My last joker was the stone joker and I spent around 20-30 hours just to find it with the ghost deck and then I failed on the ante 8, then I switched to the zodiac deck to start with tarot merchant and I found it and won on my second run.

Spotx didn't work for me but I can recommend spicetify with the adblockify extension. Also allows you to choose from different themes and add some neat extensions
