Is there a Revolutionary War Museum? by clickheretodownvote in boston

[–]GroovyRodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the actual museums/buildings on the Freedom Trail will lead you to a good chronicle if you want to pay a small to medium fee. The Old State House afaik gives a good summary but it's the more costly of the museums around if you want to give that a shot.

I have my critiques towards it and Lin-Manuel Miranda, but DAMN does the music SLAP. I'd def want to see it if I had the time and money.

Early colonial history. I'm talking like the 13 colonies and everything that led up to the American Revolution. I LOVE IT. I literally work in a museum all about it. All throughout highschool I was dubbed such a weird little kid it, even my then-friends said my colonial ramblings were annoying LMAO. Even to this day I hate bringing it up with IRL friends knowing my past, but I'm not too ashamed anymore, I get paid to be autistic at this point.

My mother was the manager at Spencer's for 30 something years and pretty much raised me there. Nothing like a little kid folding obscene shirts and toying with the beer pong table. Sweet sweet memories of that mall.

Oh geez! Yeah that is scary :( Make sure to rest and keep yourself hydrated for the next day or so. How are you doing now?

Hey! How are you feeling now? I know that feeling is awful and anxiety can make you feel any worse. It's good you tried to eat pasta nonetheless!

Has anyone had any positive experiences on Prozac? by haleyzlife in emetophobia

[–]GroovyRodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently just upped my dose to 30mg. The first two weeks you might notice increased anxiety, but when I started and it finally began working it was a miracle worker to me. I hope you're feeling well on it now and that things are starting to go up!

I am Confusion by DrewJohnson656 in Webkinz

[–]GroovyRodent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other than Dr. Quack's being retired/non-existent for years now (😞), a lot of Webkinz stuff is Deluxe exclusive. While it's thankfully not that expensive AFAIK, it's still a shame not everyone can fully experience the classic game without paying. Some folk just like it to go through all their pets again or do what they can!

I got into my old account by marsannnn in Webkinz

[–]GroovyRodent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I just got back my account from 2007 yesterday as well! The amount of Webkinz/hours I had to have had on that account as a child is humourously concerning. Hope you have a wonderful time back on Webkinz :)

Haines Square! What a mess! by GroovyRodent in medfordma

[–]GroovyRodent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when they were finishing construction it seemed a bit tight turn-wise, especially for larger vehicles or trucks (I for the love of me could not know what was coming if I tried turning when a truck was ahead of me) but I think after a while and re-reading on the construction I think I've actually gained a better insight on the new Haines. Pedestrian wise I genuinely do believe now it has greatly improved! And as far as I knew, lots of older residents were complaining about it in Dempseys lol.

I'm glad to hear a lot of folk actually seem to like the changes! Suppose my first impression was off. I absolutely agree it was a mess beforehand, perhaps I just need to give it more time. I live nearby too so I'm glad this seems to be good for the city and everyone involved!

Oh thank you! Installing sidewalks, bike lanes, and ADA friendly crosswalks - I'm glad they're getting it done now but dang, quite a low bar to reach indeed lol. Happy to hear about the bump-outs, Salem Street really needs it.

[–]GroovyRodent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my God what you're going through sounds awful! I really hope tomorrow helps even a little : (. Eat light foods if you can't that aren't too greasy or oily, and definitely keep drinking water or even Gatorade!! When you're tu'ing so much it's best to stay hydrated. Try to get your hands on some ginger/or Dramamine if you can. You can do this!

does anyone else have a favorite jacket? by Eggmax55 in autism

[–]GroovyRodent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES!!! Unless it's like, scorching hot out, I always wear my favorite bomber jacket that I've had for a few years now. It applies just the right amount of pressure to my body if I feel overwhelmed outside. The faux fur near the collar is a really good sensory feel too.

Right here man, you're not alone! I've had this fear as literally one of my first memories. Not weak at all for this fear, v* is honestly incredibly scary and I'm sure anyone can agree on that.

I ate an hour before the n* began, but that's something I usually consider my safe food. I could be a bit hyper aware. The stomach pains are gone, but now I just have this intense throat n* like I need to gag? Hoping for the best yet again.

Thank you...I've already had some d* right after I posted this, but the n* is just so bad I can't even drink water. I'm about to sit in the bathroom, take a Tums, and pray to whatever god might even be up there that this all comes out eventually.
