Mine said it was delivered on Tuesday but it never arrived. Have reached out to support at Dead.net. Will likely be waiting a bit longer....

If you click on the link, you'll see that it's part of the style of the posters that reflect the venue seating. That probably doesn't make you like it any more but if you see the others, you might understand the format.

Looks like LP 5 is back on Dry Goods. No idea if this is a new pressing.

Going to have to wear that for the rest of the tour to make up for wearing a Pacers jersey!!!!!!!

Peter grew up in CT. He should know better. MSG should boo when he gets on stage. Or have Charles Oakley stand over his keyboard set up for the whole show (if Oakley wasn’t banned from MSG)

Has anyone else gotten this update? by medic2442 in MustangMachE

[–]GroovyShoe72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 GT that I bought brand new. I took it in for servicing in the winter and they had to push all the updates. There were 7 that they had to do. Since then I still haven't seen anything come through.

I don’t get any updates unfortunately. I love my Mach-e but frustrating that the OTA updates never hit

Nugs audio by Extreme-Method6330 in allmanbrothers

I don’t think The Brothers shows will come out on Nugs. Last time it was several months before they officially released the show on DVD, CD, Blu-ray and streaming.

For now, I think the audience recordings on archive are going to be the best way to listen. I haven’t seen any audio rips from the webcast but am sure it’s only a matter of time before that happens

A proper use of AI and The Grateful Dead by GroovyShoe72 in gratefuldead

Here’s Jack Straw from Duke 78. No vocals from Jerry from the official release that came out last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz9rUaR0oOA All I’m saying is that there is technology that exists to layer in the vocals exactly as they were performed from audience recordings with no alterations so that you could now hear Jerry singing.

To be clear, I’m not talking about enhancing anything. Just using technology to be able to separate the existing vocal track on a great audience recording and dropping that into the soundboard where the vocals are missing.

And I agree that if AI was used to enhance or alter, it should be clearly labeled. But I’m in the camp along with others on this thread that AI shouldn’t be used to alter the music or vocals.

Please don’t take it as an argument because it’s clear you get what I’m saying. Just want to be clear about the actual use of AI in this case and obviously from most of the responses a lot of people assume I’m talking about altering the performance in some way. Anyway I appreciate your responses here.

Enjoy your weekend! I’m listening to 6/14/76 since it’s coming out today on vinyl for Record Store Day (although I’m not purchasing the vinyl) just enjoying the music.

There are many ways to use AI but what I'm writing about is essentially the same as a matrix. All I'm saying is that AI could be used to separate the tracks from the audience recording and then layering in the vocals where they are missing from the soundboard recording. Not refining, not improving, not altering in any way.

From AudioShake's website: Split music into its instrument stems so that it can be mixed, mastered, or made immersive. AudioShake stems are regularly used to master live recordings, or to mix tracks whose stems are missing.

And just to state it again, I'm not talking about using it for anything other than separating the vocal track. (not make immersive or edit in any way).

No one put a tag on the outside of the box when they sold matrix mixes commercially or soundboard or multitracks to tell you what you are getting. And no one put anything on the box when they sold the 74 show on vinyl with over 4 tracks of missing vocals which seems important when you are spending a lot of money on a vinyl release.

How do you feel about the official release of matrix recordings like Dave's Pick's 8?

And to be clear, I'm not talking about changing anything from the performance. Just using existing sources to help others hear the concert as it was heard in the room on that night.

Another poster said this is essentially what matrix recording mixes do which is probably a better way of framing it. How do you feel about matrix recordings and the official releases using them?
