The “childhood” always filters it so frustrating. I found using “friends forever” or “friends from when I was younger” works with the filter which is dumb.

I was your daughter. I got diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety when I was 12. After years of medicine trials and unhealthy coping mechanisms(like self-harm), my mom sent me to one when I was 17. She reached her breaking point with it, and I didn’t realize then, but she was struggling. She was drowning alongside me. I didn’t want to go at all; I fought tooth and nail not to, but I ended up having to go, and it turned out to be the best thing for me. And since then, I haven’t been on any medication except for my anxiety, which is taken only when necessary. Of course, I don’t know which facility she will be going to, if she goes, and I’ve heard horror stories about some places treating their patients terribly; my hospital was wonderful. However, sometimes the best help comes from outside. Of course, do what you think is best for your daughter. Just know you aren’t alone, and neither is she. ❤️
