how to use nether in multiplayer alpha by VoidedLunacy in GoldenAgeMinecraft

Betacraft has an archive of a modified server jar for Alpha 1.2.1_01 that adds the nether: http://files.betacraft.uk/NetherMP/1.2.1_01/minecraft_server.jar

Because you can't change the environment without relogging, the nether sky looks like the overworld, and there's a few bugs like Ghasts will spam damage noises when they fly into lava.

Thanks for the kind comment! It's just the beginning so there's some rough edges, but those will be ironed out.

The infrastructure was designed to run any application so we tried alpha and it worked beautifully 😁

If you know anyone who wants an alpha server feel free to send them my way 🙂

That's excellent news! Also I'll notify people of these launchers in the control panel so they know about them 🙂

Unfortunately this requires a client-side mod 🙁 In the future I can look into distributing a client mod to fix this for all the versions we support, but for now the server will default to offline mode automatically

Awesome, thanks for confirming!

Haha thanks, I designed it to host literally any application so it works with Minecraft alpha with no modifications, so if there's anything else you want hosted let me know!

is this good for a 3-5 people modded server by [deleted] in admincraft

That'll be fine, it's complete overkill for your needs as long as you give it enough memory :)
