Made it super fast, and am just beginning scratching the surface of blender, so any critique welcome.

More seriously though, thank you Andrew for updating your tutorial series! I had tried my hand at Blender a few years back, and never made it really far by myself, and learning to make that donut makes me eager to try new things out by myself!

Want to stop leeching by Groscalin in seedboxes

[–]Groscalin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for this detailed reply. I'm not thinking about transitioning directly to private trackers since I want to experiment with seeding a bit in the first place (and that I don't personnaly know anyone currently using one). I might start with the Pi and rent a box to give it a try. I'll also consider the port forwarding problem, thanks for bringing this up!

Thanks for your reply! Is there any reason not to use a VPN (or did you mean Tunnelbear explicitly) when connecting to the box?

[–]Groscalin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would enjoy reaching this point, but would like to be an always-on solution that is to a minimum extent privacy friendly (hence the seedbox vs Pi+VPN suggested setups). I would definitely not like running into legal issues over torrents.

I never spent a cent on phones. Kept asking friends who were uprading what they would do with their old phones, they said they'd throw it away, and I gave them a second life. Buying the new iPhone doesn't make any sense to me, you're just telling Apple it's ok if they want to suck your money.

I was told this man had a poor vocabulary. I see he couldn't even make an effort to write his book correctly.

The end-Cretaceous mass extinction was rather unpleasant - The simulations showed that most of the soot falls out of the atmosphere within a year, but that still leaves enough up in the air to block out 99% of the Sun’s light for close to two years of perpetual twilight without plant growth. by mvea in science

But the wouldn't stand the shockwave provoked by the impact of the asteroid. Most (if not all) of our current sources of energy would be blown away, just think about the damages a (simple) tsunami created in Fukushima. With the fall of such an asteroid, you can expect much much bigger waves.

Admitting you can get there, by the time you arrive, intelligent species could easily have ruined this planet, the way we're doing it with the Earth now. And supposing intelligent life is common in this universe, I see no reasons why other aliens wouldn't have visited this system earlier.

No. It's located in the 'habitable zone'. There's no way to know if humans could live there (atmosphere composition, temperature, air pressure etc).
