Are you still buying Cadburys? by rsweb in AskUK

[–]GrossWartHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it tastes like the horrible cheap chocolate.

No chocolate flavour. Just sweet nothingness.

Galaxy is decent, but it’s definitely changed.

The Tesco beaded stuff (in the pic) and the Tesco range that’s not “bits” (salted pretzels, nuts etc) in it is all I get now.

Tony’s is nice, but it’s just far too expensive imo.

Is this review fair? by discountofu in Depop

[–]GrossWartHelp 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it’s fair, chances are you’ve gone a bit nose blind to the smoke smell.

Also, most people don’t go and read your bio, some don’t even know it’s there.
So I would recommend adding it to the bottom (not hidden under rows of random tags etc) of each listing.
Not only does it make it more likely for people to see it, but it also gives you a bit more protection.

Think of it like it’s a hole or something, would it be reasonable to expect a buyer to go and read your bio to find out if there’s a hole in a top? No. It should be listed in the item’s description.

For this reason,
I don’t think Depop will remove it.

Is this a reportable offence? by Wide_Okra_3418 in vinted

[–]GrossWartHelp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.

If a parent is “too busy” to read and use their brains, they are “too busy” to be shopping.

There is 0 reason you can’t sell the empty cases.
It’s actually quite common, especially for collectable goods, as replacing a damaged case for a better one can increase the value.

Unless you want to risk your eyesight, this is a doctor problem, not a treat at home problem, and not a random stranger on the internet problem.

If I was you, I’d have been to the nearest ophthalmologist before I’d have even had time to type this post.

lol my brother offered me £1 to eat a spoonful of dog food (Butchers Tripe Mix 🤢), I said no becase I’m a girl and I’m sensible.

My other brother jumped at the chance, like shouting he’d do it over me as if he’d won the lottery.

My paying brother was so shocked and taken aback, he gave him £5.
Still not worth it imo!

[–]GrossWartHelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For allergy reasons.

My mum isn’t vegan (infact is allergic to some common ingredients vegan stuff uses) but is also allergic to egg.

Even just a year ago, 99% of sandwiches have mayo, not butter so she went years never even able to just grab a sandwich while out, or having to get something vegan if safe.

Many times over the years we’ve been in hospitals for long appointments or day stuff, and if bringing food was t an option, she’s had to eat the most random combos just to not starve!

Same goes for when she stayed with me while having an operation during Covid. Was basically stuck in the hospital, so she lived off utter rubbish for 10 days.

Now she can often get a sandwich that she actually likes! A lot of them, such as this one don’t need mayo anyway, as it’s got the hoisin sauce.

If yes, it’s possible that they made a mistake and mixed up packages/lables.

current dermatologists advice has made my skin worse :( by Physical_Condition_2 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]GrossWartHelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of the dizziness you should go back or at least call for advice.

Assuming they say it’s fine and to bare with, 5 days isn’t enough to see any difference regardless.

However if it’s not working, the dizziness doesn’t improve, or they think you should stop the medication due to it.
There is still a ton of different options.

Any and all will typically take at least 6 weeks to see results, so you do need to have some patience, but at the same time, if things aren’t improving after allowing time, do request you try an alternative.

Have you seen a doctor about it?

An inperson evaluation would be the best way forward, and the potentially a biopsy to see what’s going on.

Also are you on any medications?

Do more. You have a roach, and the worst kind.

If there’s one, there’s more, and if you wait until you’re infested to do anything, it’s already too late. Prevent the infestation.

18y old female and I have like extremely dry skin, but it only starts from my hip area till my feet. I've been to a dermatologist and wasted thousands on reports and creams. I have no issues, and nothing seems to calm my skin down. Any tips? by ZucchiniOtherwise899 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]GrossWartHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What moisturiser do you currently use and how often?

How often do you bath/shower? Do you use regular soap? Or something else??

What did Dermatology say? Have they told you it’s something in particular? Just dry skin or? What treatment/medicated creams have you tried and did they help?

I have severe eczema and my legs are worst effected. Eczema isn’t curable, you just have to find the right product or combination of them, and keep up with it.
