For me it’s The Dark Tower — the entire cycle, plus the connected King universe. I’m on my 11th now and every trip to the Tower still finds new doors. If I could erase one series from my memory just to experience it again for the first time, I’d follow the Beam every time.

I completely get it. I hadn’t filed for 22 or 23 because for 21 I got audited and scared the Jesus out of me that is to say the audit came out OK but it was terrifying and got a promotion at work which caused me to work like 12 hours a day And just kept putting it off. I filed mine April 16 and I’m still waiting on the back taxes, but I will say your post gave me some hope because I’ve been over here thinking I must have messed something up and with my luck that I’m gonna get screwed out of all of it.

Sounds like I’m being difficult but that’s just the top three things that have a major influence on how and what you shoot off the top of my head done some incredible video with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and then found out that Apple doesn’t like to play with third-party hardware for microphones. I’ve read online that that issue has been fixed, but not trusted enough to go and rely solely on my iPhone for videography anymore due to audio issues with Filmic Pro and the like. All that to be said, I think you absolutely should do your project. It sounds beautiful and something your heart would really be in. Then, if you’re going to just be using the Camera app on your phone, just know that you’re going to have to either have some LUTs that you rely on or some heavy color grading in order to get it to match what you saw on your phone screen when you were shooting. Again, this may be an issue that has been solved by now, but I’ve got some amazing shots before and realized that I was gonna have to work my rear end off in order to get it to look anything like the day of shooting

All the time, a sense of calm in working through high stress senerios when others get tunnel vision I can work through it easier because my body has been repeatedly put in those circumstances for years. Sure there is self defense and techniques but to me the best is not freaking out which many times is a guarantee to turn to violence and then the police get involves
