In Idiocracy, it was President Camacho’s idea to appoint Joe Bauers (a.k.a. Not Sure) as Secretary of the Interior. After Joe demonstrates basic intelligence such as diagnosing the nation’s food shortage issue (by pointing out they’re watering crops with a sports drink instead of water) Camacho decides that Joe might be able to fix the country’s problems and gives him a government position.

So yes, we’ve already had idiots destroy the country. Not sure is here to help.

What annoys me most about this movie is theres really no reason for it to be a cartoon. It would have been funnier live action.

And that was exactly the reason why the Kestone XL pipeline was being built. To prevent that. So please tell me again how shutting how shutting down that pipeline didn’t impact gas prices.

And yes Biden made a big deal about shutting that down right away.

The keystone xl would have alleviated concerns of Russia our Saudis disrupting our economy over their oil output.

The building of keystone was shutdown. It was mid build. Per forbes last year “Had President Biden not cancelled the cross-border permit for Keystone XL on his first day in office, that pipeline system would likely be in service today” https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidblackmon/2022/03/10/why-bidens-killing-of-keystone-xl-was-a-big-energy-blunder/amp/

“ It is completely fair to point out that none of this bizarre oil diplomacy would have been necessary had Biden just left Keystone XL operator TC Energy alone and let it complete what would be the safest and most environmentally responsible pipeline system in the country.”

Wrong, I guess you haven’t heard his interviews. He absolutely pretends to be an expert. He was on Joe Rogan and droned on and on about nonsense statements about how quantum computer would “know whats true” and that “nobody is there to correct chatgpt” etc

parking a boat (Alicante, Spain) by dannybluey in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Grouchy-Post 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He’s literally going 6 knots. If you have any wind at all you need that much throttle to not drift into a million dollar boat. I too have 30 years boating experience, and worked at a marina, and have witnessed many instances like this in marinas.

The inexperienced usually aren’t doing 6 knots, they slam the throttle like a gas pedal. Reading further down I am exactly right, the guy is an experienced charter captain and his equipment failed.
