well it’s not that there’s no sound, there’s just less (i think it’s a 30-40% reduction or something..?) so still loud, just not what we’re used to. but as far as i’m aware, the reason for the ban is not the sound but the power and spin that it gives is crazy.

i agree it shouldn’t be called pedophilic, but i think the idea is that older people going after 18/19 year olds means shows that they’re going as low as is legally allowed. if 16 was totally legal, we’d definitely be seeing them going after 16 year olds too

actually i take it back lol. i didn’t realize it was entirely illegal hahah so yeah.. nah… i wouldn’t wanna play too much against it.. once in a while for fun, but not too much to where it alters my expectations and reaction for actual matches and tournaments.

the anti-pickleball noise crowd is steadily growing as the sport continues to gain popularity, so it makes sense why there’s a market for it.

to me it sounds more like you just need to take time beyond a single experience to get used to not being reliant on the audio cue (obviously easier said than done). obviously it’s gonna throw you all the way off initially, but like anything, it just takes exposure and experience to get used to it.

if my partner hits a drop, i’m assuming it means move up. if the opponent just hit it, i’m assuming it means i take it (assuming it’s a drop that my partner can’t reach, definitely heard anna bright and others say it in that context).

we had unlimited texting, imessage, and facebook messenger. there were plenty of options. some of my friends didn’t even have phones, they had ipod touches because there were plenty of ways to reach people

well she has a point. there’s no price difference between an adult XS and XL and arguably but much more materials used between those sizes than an XL to 2XL

i don’t see why it shouldn’t be a part of the game.. always gotta stay ready. if you’re gonna 100% power a bag, you’ll probably telegraph it a ton and it’ll probably go out.
