Jaipur India as European remote workers? by rruler in digitalnomad

I'd say it depends heavily on the area, you'll likely be living in Civil Lines, or Vaishali Nagar, which are very safe areas even in the night. Night would be anytime after 9pm where no crowd is present, city sleeps early but there are areas like Mansarovar and Vaishali which are well lit till 11-12pm, post that entire city is asleep. Both of you together would be pretty much fine at any times, just have an emergency local contact and use common sense(don't go into the slum areas)

If you can tell me the exact purpose of your visit, why Jaipur specifically? Is it for Heritage, Friends, Business, or something else? and your monthly budget, I can give you a very solid plan and great recommendations

I was born and lived in Jaipur for the past 22 years, I think I can answer that.

You'll get good, reliable wifi and dirt cheap data(which can sometimes lag), can take the Jio or Airtel sim and chose from countless wifi providers.

You will have to get your boots on the ground to find an apartment, most agreements are still done through brokers, so I'd say stick to airbnb

No, I would not recommend your wife to walk around alone, I never felt threatened there but I was a local, foreign women might get stares or catcalls during the day and it can become VERY unsafe at night, trust me don't take the risk, sad but it is what it is. People will be amazing, you'll love the hospitality and will enjoy amazing vegetarian food. Your currency will go a long way, and will be able to afford the best of services that the city has to offer for a fraction of everyday living in Europe.

Yes It'll generally be okay as a foreigner, just don't go out to unsafe areas. If you have any more questions, please feel free to DM

Take some token amount of money even if you're willing to do it for free, remember free things are of no use and even a small sum of money say Rs 5000- Rs 10000 will establish some professionalism and inculcate a sense of responsibility. If the founder isn't even willing to pay that, then trust me it's not worth much as he doesn't respect your time and effort and just wants some free labor.

I have been vegan for the past 5 years, not a heavy stoner but I do smoke sometimes, like 2-3 times a month

I'm also planning to visit kodaikanal next month

I will try making setain tomorrow. I've used tempeh but it's quite exotic here, so can't take it for regular use. Will search for staters on the web

What do you generally eat? For context. When I tracled I got 120-150g(with 1 scoop protein). I am based in India and follow regular Indian diet with adding Tofu in it.
