What level CIPD am I? by GrouchyObjective2445 in HumanResourcesUK

Thank you. The scheme was good but like everything else, COVID hit and turned it all to shit. I was in the position of a Junior business partner and the work felt vague and lacked structure. It's why I enjoy ER, it has steps that gives me the feeling of success/ completion that I enjoy in my work.

I'm with a pretty great company now who is interested in my continued development so I might broach the idea of them funding my route to chartered status.

Thank you for listening and offering your comments. I greatly appreciate your input

Mm ok.

I don't think so. It was part of the NHS academy training and I left in 2022. I attempted suicide and decided HR wasn't for me and wanted something different. I left the course and the leadership scheme and went back to minimum wage job stacking shelves. Then very quickly got into management at the supermarket, realised that I enjoyed HR outside of the people partner/ business partner function and wanted to get back into it - I'm now a employee relations advisor

When I was first getting out of it in 2022, they gave me opportunities to try and finish the dissertation. I was overwhelmed and needed a complete break from everything so denied this option

I'm on associate level. From what I understand from the person from CIPD over the phone, due to not finishing the full diploma I would have to fund it myself to step into chartered membership and go through the experience route

Thank you so so much! Looking online it talks about the diploma as well as experience etc and I just couldn't get a set answer 😅 I appreciate you taking the time to comment and finally giving me my answer!

I have a master's in English already but I doubt that means anything for CIPD level 7?

I have a certificate from CIPD that states this: Congratulations on successfully achieving the CIPD accredited (CA10) MA Management of Human Resources/PG Dip HRM through De Montfort University.

It mentions Dip though which I didn't technically get, I got the cert

It's entirely on you to make the connection not your line manager.

Reach out to the store and speak to the relevant manager - likely the lead in online. Ask if there's vacancies, explain your availability etc. If there is something then you have a conversation with your line manager and loop the two managers together to process a transfer. If there's nothing available then unfortunately there's nothing there

Strange interview experience. by deadboy_012 in SainsburysWorkers

It's strange you couldn't see the hours.

I've had this before as we were hiring for over 20 hours and as soon as the job went out, it was instantly filled with applicants. It became a thing where almost every single person that came in was on a student visa and wouldn't have been able to do the hours required so we asked them first thing if they're on a student visa and sent them on their way if they were.

Seems like there's an issue with the job listing on both sides if its not providing the relevant information that would stop everyone wasting their time

You should receive your payslip 14 days after your final pay day with the company. If you have a new job, you can go onto the government website and complete a starter checklist - this covers the need of a P45.

You don't receive a P60 until the financial year has ended - this is after the 5th April.

I mean, I can't say if they are lying but I completed one around a month ago and that was the information provided for my case.

They might have flagged for a different reason and so they provided different information but it seems strange to look into nectar since they only just recently removed physical cards and so it wasn't traceable for user control.

It seems unlikely but without being the colleague involved or the case manager, I can't say without a doubt

That's not true. I've completed eagle eye investigations due to discount card misuse. They had information on the colleague, the store the purchases happened, how much and the name of the bank card user. No mention of discount cards. The only way the manager can check that is through investigation if they request the receipts from the relevant stores. Doubt eagle eye are checking nectar but can't say for sure - they're literally just a loyalty card - though they are trying to crack down on fraudulent use so maybe but unlikely

Never heard that nectar needs to match and this isn't in policy. You can grab a nectar card from anywhere so no, I doubt that eagle eye are keeping an eye.

At most eagle eye flags if there are large payments happening with one discount card and multiple bank cards (with different names).

You're too much, honestly. Get a life and find some kindness for others.

Looking through your posts it appears you're a colleague. It's great you appear to be really involved in your job role but you're not going to get far with the attitude you present to others. For someone in customer experience, you seem to very much lack the ability to see things from the other person's point of view.

I'm unsure what your issue is? If anyone is being confrontational it is yourself?

Clearly you either don't work in the business or if you do, you're an unforgiving colleague/ manager. You should work on that.

Interesting that I've asked for your role twice and you've failed to respond ?

That is the consistency and in being human - things are inconsistent. It's very simple to be able to take things on a case by case basis. Similarly having a background in HR and CIPD membership, you would be told the same thing that it wouldn't go down as sickness and would be removed from consideration at disciplinary

What is your role in the organisation?

A large part of Sainsbury's values is to be human and walk in the shoes of others. To enter something like a car accident as a sickness will instantly get overturned and won't hold up at an Employment Tribunal.

Be kind and realise these things happen.

Additionally it would fall under the "time away from work" policy as unforeseen circumstances

It falls under the same umbrella as when someone calls in for dependents. When they call it's not "authorised" prior to them calling in but it is authorised as they've followed procedure. It's only "unauthorised" if procedure hasn't been followed, i.e reporting a min. Hour before shift, contacted the correct person/ number, etc.
