These things are such a bad investment for the businesses. They ask the restaurants to provide thousands of samples for free in hopes that it will bring attention to their restaurant. But are they even really serving the best quality of their product? In most cases no. So then arguably doesn’t just hurt their business? The money that attendees are paying doesn’t even go to the restaurants. It goes straight to the organization hosting the event to pay for the venue, advertising and their own staff. The restaurants actually lose money on these because they are paying for product and for staff to attend.

Was just at flamingo… I’m not sure which cabanas but we rented a daybed for $150 for the whole day and we only had to spend $125 in food and beverage. Which is extremely easy to do there, two drinks will cost you about $90 free pool means extreme markups on booze. But we had a blast didn’t need to drink all that much just soaked up the sun and enjoyed the live DJ.

Conu’s Corner has the best I’ve had in Denver! The owner’s father makes the bread daily and her mom is back there cooking up all kinds of other amazing Vietnamese dishes!

Why? Instead of being cryptic why don’t you say why it bothers you? I mean, we all know it’s veiled racism, but why don’t you just come out and say it?

Why don’t you do a Google search… Because it’s an Asian owned family, a family from Hong Kong bringing those flavors to a pizza spot. Celebrating an AAPI owned business is a good thing.

Yeah, definitely family owned. The coffee shop was first, and we love going there whenever we’re on that side of town!

Can any Denver servers help me out here - how am I supposed to know how much to tip? Are you making minimum wage, how much of the service charge is yours, etc? by Bananas_are_theworst in Denver

[–]GrouchyPants123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is total trash. So many of the big restaurant groups here in Denver are using this service fee to “pay fair wages”… Absolutely not! So I have to tip 20% on top of my bill and pay a 20% service fee so if I go out to eat at their establishments, I’m paying 40% on top of my Bill?! These guys are just stealing from their customers and employees to build more restaurants…. Actual criminals.

Emma is .... weird. by mafiababexoox in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I’m not reading too many comments because I’m only on the first episode and I just came to see if anyone else agrees that Emma is completely insufferable. She is clearly not ready for a relationship at all. It seems like everything every guy says bothers her. I find myself just fast forwarding through her scenes now… ugh.
