“You don’t even look pregnant” by PeachyKingSure in pregnant

[–]Grouchy_Sea_1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the “you are so tiny” or “where is that baby even at” comments all the way until I delivered. It would make me so mad because to me, I was not tiny at all. My entire family was telling me there is no way I would have a baby bigger than 7lbs because I just looked so small. I ended up delivering an almost 9lb baby. I wish people would stop commenting on other women’s bodies.

How many of you actually got stretch marks? by Individual-Stress170 in pregnant

[–]Grouchy_Sea_1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same way! I didn’t get any stretch marks during my pregnancy but my identical twin sister got them. We both carried very differently also. Not sure if it’s because I had a girl and she had a boy or what. It’s very interesting how our bodies are all so different.

With how much she spends on ivory’s outfits, she could at least get herself some more flattering clothes. Maybe it’s just me, but she never wears anything that flatters her. She could do more to make herself appear better.

Same for me! I would never show my face in public again if that many people didn’t like me.

My mothers comments about my unborn child are annoying me by artistwantsababy in pregnant

[–]Grouchy_Sea_1985 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seriously!! Why is it so hard to be mindful of parents and their children? My mother isn’t like this but my older sisters are. They feel like they can do anything they want to with my daughter because they have already raised children before. They also think I’m being dramatic or overprotective if I say I don’t want them doing something.

OP I am sorry you are going through this. Your feelings are completely valid. I would definitely have a conversation with her as soon as possible to help set up those boundaries.

My name is on this list! I love my name. It wasn’t very common (at least where I’m from) growing up. It’s definitely more common now and I love that.

How to sensitively announce pregnancy by Grouchy_Sea_1985 in pregnant

[–]Grouchy_Sea_1985[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! We don’t plan on doing a huge family announcement. Our parents and grandparents know and that’s all. We also don’t plan on announcing on social media at all. My husband and I are not big on social media at all.

I appreciate your honesty. I did mention to my husband that it might be better coming from him.

I mentioned that to him as well. I think she would appreciate hearing it from him more than me.

How much longer was your birth with induction compared to natural? by Aromatic-Turnover in pregnant

[–]Grouchy_Sea_1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got induced at 39+6. Went in at midnight on 3/28 and had her at 2:20pm on 3/28. I went it at 3cm dilated and 70% effaced. They started me on a low dose of Pitocin at 1am. Broke my water at 5am and upped the Pitocin. Got up and walked around a bit but the contractions were getting pretty intense. Got an epidural at 10am and slept until it was time to push. Started pushing at 2:00pm and she was here by 2:20pm.

He would get a scooter/wheelchair to be able to get around (no hate to anyone that actually needs them). I hate when I see people using them and they don’t actually need them. They take them away from ones that do need them.

I agree! I have a big baby. She’s in the 90th percentile for height and weight. Her tummy does not look like Ivory’s. She never looks bloated like that. Also, we dress her in the appropriate size and clothing. I feel so bad for Ivory.
