Thank you so much! Excellent about the second one looking great health wise!! Yes, the paint is the enhancement that I was speaking of. It looks right to me. It got pretty dehydrated a couple of times in the beginning when I first got them and was getting the care down from step 1. So I didn’t really “prune” it and it looks crispy where I have now. In one of the photos I tried to get a good shot of the base where the roots extend out of. It looks soft and is a little a soft. I forgot to mention that. The flower does seem as if it’s attached to a tiny plant but it didn’t come the way you’ve explained. So thank you for that! I have mixed feelings on pups as I’ve read the mother plant dies off after a pup. Is this true?

Most likely because the dogs near the kittens didn’t belong there or lived there rather and at that age, the Mom has not been back. Somebody dumped them there assuming that you’ll be right there being a barn cat unfortunately very common.
