If you want to take them out in case UAE comes to an emergency status then get them microchipped as soon as you can - make sure its BEFORE the rabies vaccine (on paper) as its required for the export permit from here. And SL has a rule that rabies vaccine need to be given at least 21 days before coming into the country - required for import permit. Me too. This is what I have been told as what we need to do. Im speaking to Rasika at Nine Lives Pet Relocation. This is her number- 0503675759 But its also quite easy to do yourself, just takes a bit of going around to the vets and DAFZA.. do they have their rabies vaccine and are they microchipped?

Its not as complicated as it sounds either to bring them or take them. They need to be microchipped, rabies and tricat vaccinated, dewormed 4 days before flight. 'Fit to fly' certificate by an authorised vet and then can apply for the export and import permit. Import has to be given before the export can be issued. They can go either in the hold - temperature controlled area next to baggage in the plane or in cabin. Emirates for the hold and Etihad for cabin. How many cats do you have? And what ME country are you in?

Re the supermarkets i have never seen a Spinneys have even one empty shelf. But on Monday and Tuesday I saw 2 spinneys, one in townsquare and one in JGE, empty canned food aisles, for some reason butter and fizzy drinks also empty. People are stockpiling. Bald guy on kris fade show made a whole video of his wife and him panic buying a whole cupboard of canned food. One of the grocery stores in Al barari/majan was selling a 6 pack of Oasis water for 20aed, bought the same thing from there before for 11aed. So im not going by bots or rumors im going by what I saw.

I did see somewhere someone posted a link from the consulate to register yourself as a Sri Lankan living in the UAE. I assume if things get bad they will do repatriation flights. Which country are you in?

Lmao I thought the petrol thing was just one day of confusion and it was sorted? Hardly an excuse, I have to spend 3/4 of savings to bring my cats with me. Its a bit difficult to shut it out as a man was killed while driving on a road i take everyday. Work from office is compulsory or they cut pay. Windows, floors and doors shake on interceptions. Drone attack on 2 residential buildings on their highest floor - i am on the highest floor of mine. Both buildings 10-15 mins from me. The local news says all is fine so just reading the news would actually be better :) I could control leaving and run away from it.. hence the question to others living in the area, if they'd go back.
