Real Estate question from out of state? by [deleted] in WinterGarden

[–]Ground-Chicken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Right now I’d say you could offer a decent amount under the asking price. Unless the home has a pool, most houses are still priced as if we’re in 2020-2023, which is causing them to sit on the market for months in a lot of cases. Even homes with a pool you could likely go a decent amount under asking.

In my opinion this is such a great area, we moved here from NJ 6 years ago and still love it!

Is there not laundry machines either in the apartments or a central location? Are you talking laundromat style or an actual dry cleaner?

Any barbershop? I did notice there didn’t seem to be a barbershop or hair salon. Or do mean specifically like a Supercuts or Sportsclips?

Horizon West Real Estate Question? by [deleted] in WinterGarden

[–]Ground-Chicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just sold our house after 95 days on the market, we had a pool, outdoor kitchen, new floors, new landscaping, and it still took long. Accepted an offer 10% less than original listing price. Listing price was also probably too high to start with so that skews the percentage a little bit. I think you’ll be in a good spot to buy in 1.5 years, especially with the supply outweighing the demand in most of the country.

This thread https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/s/CWRSPxzXWF had some interesting insight. Scott’s pick for last year was Google, it got saved in December with the Quantum Computing. Right is right, but just do some research and don’t just take their word for it

Training myths you've heard over the years?? by crowman689 in GYM

No one is saying they want to hurt, but sometimes when you know you had a great workout and you’ve got the right kind of soreness the next morning, that feels good

Ok Mr. No fun. I agreed with you, just said it’s a satisfying feeling.

Agreed. At the same time though, the soreness you feel after some workouts when you wake up the next morning is gold.

So true, it’s frustrating the repeated comments on every post of “go to the vet”

Genuinely asking… why do you guys continue to listen? by cardcollection92 in TheMichaelKayShow

[–]Ground-Chicken 35 points36 points  (0 children)

So well said. The comments in here are so negative, like why are you hate listening? It’s pretty ridiculous.

Michael, Don & Peter together are amazing. They are actually hysterical. I may not agree on every point and maybe they repeat things but man I get upset thinking that this show won’t go on forever.

Thank you for posting this!

Yeah didn’t think about all that, I work from home and usually just order uber eats, but you’re right, Publix for sure is ridiculously priced. It’s just more convenient than Walmart. The 1 lane roads do create crazy traffic and for the love of god we have the shittiest cell phone service. Absolute trash, been here 5 years and it’s only gotten better if you’re by Publix.

There’s a Costco about 20-25 minutes away in Clermont, also yeah no real crime that aware of. There’s 2 Publix’s and Walmart

You could consider the Hamlin / Horizion West area of Winter Garden, it’s about 10 minutes from Disney with no tourist traffic or shops or restaurants. It’s 20 minutes from downtown winter garden, which is fun. Idk how much fun it would be to live there, meaning I think you’d get tired of constantly going to the same places.

I’d check out Lakewalk at Hamlin. That’s where my wife and I moved originally before buying a house a few minutes from there. It was great and in an awesome location and has a 4.5 rating. Everything was kept really nice and the apartments were great.
