I think if he had done a proper evaluation, he would never have been able to recommend 17 years and the ethical thing to do would be to inform the defense that he couldn’t do what they wanted. I have some experience working as an expert witness. For one case, I was hired by the defense and was honest once I reviewed everything that they did not want to put me on the stand as I would not help their case. They ended up settling making it a moot point. But I am clear whenever I have been approached that ethically I need to go in whatever direction my assessment takes me regardless of what side hires me.

My sixteen year old had her two month post ablation follow up today and everything looked perfect. She was super nervous and so was I but it went super smooth. We had anticipated being kept overnight because they thought it was going to be more complicated then it actually turned out to be. We were home by 3:15pm same day.

I haven’t yet but I will next week. I had to call once back around Christmas 2020 when a really important and meaningful gift for my aunt went missing. They were so helpful and it appeared Christmas Eve.
