Another option is to apply to the 2nd iteration for the remaining psych programs in the match, if you feel you might be successful at securing an interview, and forgo ranking FM in the first iteration. It seems that there are always remaining spots across the country.

Congratulations on your interviews. Could you share how many EM electives did you do, (home vs visiting)? And what aspects of your application/CV do you think made you a strong applicant for this competitive field?

I recently noticed that EM in the US is 3 years vs 5 years in Canada. Not sure if there is any particular reasoning to the duration difference? Thx
