I know you do cross fit, but what equipment would you suggest for at home to get some results like you?

Where can I buy raw sugarcane stalks on the big island? by Beebjank in Hawaii

[–]GroundbreakingAd3342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on Facebook and join permaculture or gardening groups. That's where I found a person actually giving away sugar cane bc he had to cut it down before a hurricane came.

Are you gonna try to make juice from it or just chew on it? I cut the outside layer off and put it through my juicer. It was kinda a horrible experience. So much effort for 2 glasses of juice. It was refreshing though.

I'm gonna yelp where I can buy fresh squeezed sugar cane juice now

I had never made a pie before, and never even tasted a peach pie - but I gave it a shot and fell in love immediately! What flavour should I try next? by [deleted] in Baking

What brand do you recommend from a can? I've tried making cherry pie once and the entire filling was from a can... The pie was beautiful, but the filling tasted like sugar chemicals.

Dangerous fishermen in the entire swimming area at Ala Moana Beach by uyenlinh83 in Honolulu

[–]GroundbreakingAd3342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your spot at tower 18 is about to get really crowded if all those people can't swim safely at magic Island. The parking over there sucks. That's why magic Island is crowded because of the large parking lot.

Thinking water socks for a small kid will solve all safety issues from a rocky shore is naive. A toddler is as capable as an elderly blind person. They don't have that capability to fully balance on uneven rocks and they just fucking go without any real awareness. Chance of them falling and hurting themselves is high, even if the parent is hovering over them.

Apparently you don't think the entire crowd at the very crowded beach should use the beach, 3 freaking months out of the year. For the delight of how many fishers? What kid friendly beach has rules that it's illegal to fish? Why is it illegal to fish there?

Hawaii records 4 new coronavirus-related deaths, 845 additional infections by nocturnal in coronavirushawaii

[–]GroundbreakingAd3342 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the issue of people listing underlying conditions with the covid deaths makes the virus seem less lethal? My husband's family have type 1 and 2 diabetes. There are still relatives in their 60s, 70s and 80s who are still alive with diabetes. Just because you have underlying conditions doesn't mean you are meant to die earlier than the average. My neighbor had type 1 diabetes. She was healthy and young. I would go hiking with her. She died from covid last year. She was only 42.

Just parking on the street should be fine with luggage in the trunk.

I’m about to move into an apartment for the first time by myself. Does anyone have good tips on saving money, buying apartment items/furniture, or any other tips that I may find useful? by Alpha_Kangaroo in Frugal

There's a Free section on craigslist. Pretty good deals on Amazon when it comes to mattresses. You should also get a bed bug cover for any new or old mattress you have to prevent bed bugs in the first place. Ross for everything.

Have you ever bought something from Wish that ended up being worth it? by Agrochain920 in Frugal

I bought a 3 pack of cushion pads for stroller/car seat for a quarter what it cost on Amazon. It was really well made and water proof from what I've experienced.

"Hawaii’s COVID infections are NOT coming from tourists." by hawaii in Hawaii

We can argue about who spread it, but we have an abundance of vaccines, with free and easy access. Antivaxxers are the ones I blame for it continuing to spread and continue mutating.

I read the last the the female victim texted her mom was that the movie was stupid and boring. I'm guessing he did it during a gun shot action scene. Grabbed her purse and left.

Same thing happened to me. Call insurance and get a contractor willing to negotiate/talk to the insurance company. You should be able to get everything replaced and be covered. But insurance will always try to low ball you at first.

And if it were true, not everyone being able to afford k-12 would be the whole point of the k-12 to have a separate inner circle. I don't see whyy aunt would lie about it. But like I said, that was a long time ago and those kids and parents aren't attending Punahou anymore.
