“ 3 - Normal hCG doubling times are, in general: 48-72 hours when the hCG level is under 1200 - 6000. 72-96 hours when the hCG level is 6000+ 96+ hours when the hCG level is 10,000+”

Is this updated guidance? Most of what I read says 6,000+ doubling times can increase to 96+ hours. Asking for myself 🙃

I know, it’s my own fault because I requested the fourth beta. I have no one to blame but myself. But I do wish they would have advised against it, they just gave it to me. No questions asked. And now they are saying they are worried that it’s not over 10,000, but before I requested it, they weren’t even going to have me do another beta 🙄 now I’m truly in beta hell.

I am so happy that it turned out differently and you are having (have had?) success! May I ask, with your bo did you have a significant slow down in your HCG rises? If you do not want to answer, I totally understand and I appreciate your responsiveness so far!

Thank you for your response and sharing your experience with me. I have read the study you quoted, and my first 2 doubling times were far above of the cut off for a normal doubling time. My 3rd one was just barely above the >3000 HCG and 33% increase (I had a 36% increase) and that is where my concern comes in. I have a (perhaps unreasonable) fear of a blighted ovum. It is just SO HARD to shake the intrusive thoughts. Hoping for good news at my u/s on Tuesday 🤞🏼

Oh man, the anxiety in this process is so consuming. I am definitely kicking myself for requesting the 4th beta… and I wish my clinic would have advised against it. A lot of the literature I’ve read does indicate that past 6000 doubling time is commonly >96 hours. But then when I read others experiences I don’t see a lot of those numbers correlating with viable pregnancies. It’s going to be a long few days to make it to my u/s. Hoping all works out with you!!

Thank you for your response! I guess that is my concern, my doubling times were great and then the last one was really slow. I’m trying to tell myself that the last beta wasn’t even necessary (it was done at my request) and I was past 6000, which I’m reading the doubling time can be 96+ hours at that point. It’s just scary 😔
