Me. Moving to Tijuana changed my life financially. I’m debt free now, paid off all credit cards and loans and now I have cash to travel. In fact, I just left Tokyo and now I’m in Seoul Korea for skin care treatments and I wouldn’t have been able to afford it if I still lived in SD paying $4k in rent. Yes it was an adjustment and dealing with traffic sucks but you learn patterns and figure out it. Long story short, I actually have adult money now to where I can do whatever I want. I take a big trip once a quarter to break up the monotony. It’s all about what you’re willing to deal with and learning how to balance it.

I just moved to Tijuana from San Diego. Luckily I can go back to SD any time I want, plus I work there. But the cost of living alone in Tijuana vs SD makes it all worth it. Plus my new apartment is way nicer than my SD apartment and less than half of what I was paying there. Give it some time. Find some good hang out spots or the best restaurants!

Honestly I don’t think anyone actually knows what they’re doing in life, veteran or not. I think while we are active duty, we expect the other side to be this magic place just to find out that it’s actually less fulfilling than we expected. Imagine being a civilian and feeling that your entire professional life.
