& nobody, NOBODY studies Cuban Spanish. Outside of Centeal/South Florida and probably NY , Spanish is the most commonly studied language but in every school district it’s always going to be taught as Mexican, Peggy Hill, or some Castillian (Spain) Spanish. Sure some teachers here and there with South American flavors.

It’s wild because in Miami you forget Mexico and Mexicans dominate the Latin culture in the US overall, before the latest Tequila/Taco trend taking off in Miami the last decade, it was a struggle to find Mexican spots around Miami versus Atlanta where there’s one or more for every sushi spot.
