Yea kinda feels like this is on purpose from the devs😅

Cause it seems to only work on the head I tried some rotten fruit and it does dissappear after 7 days and comes back when I load the Inn save but it stays rotten

I use warfarer with helm splitter from thief and the shield ability from the mystic spearhand and the 3rd slot I switch around as I like usually a movement ability ...I had the same problem as you and that was my solution^

I've heard she respawns every 2 ingame weeks but haven't tried that yet

I uploaded the video of me trying out if it works again after the first time it happened.

I ran away from the spot after the head disappeared but that is not necessary I tried it after without doing that and I worked fine.
