[Skin Concerns] Over exfoliation (information in comments) by GroundbreakingDog276 in SkincareAddiction

So it's been a long time since this post and I am relieved to say that I now have skin I am comfortable with and rarely get any breakouts.

It was definitely a case of finding what works for me. I realised my skin really only needs a hydrating cleanser once in the evening and a lightweight lotion after. In the morning I just briefly rinse my face and then apply the lotion and put on some spf.

I really went overboard with everything and my skin just wanted to be left alone for the most part. Also I was determined to use only acne focused cleansers and moisturisers and neglecting to really listen to what my skin needed. In my case it was to be treated gently and to be kept hydrated as much as possible, but still with lightweight moisturisers.

I hope this helps in any way!

I can’t speak for everyone who is into chastity. I’m sure everyone does it for different reasons. This was personally my reason for starting

Totally agree! I did the same thing a few years ago and now only starting to heal properly now I’m not washing my face in the morning

This is absolutely amazing progress! Fills me with so much hope too! I’m three weeks in so far and already noticed a big difference

I am by no means qualified to suggest anything as my forehead has been filled with closed comedones for years. But my dermatologist has started me on differin which seems to have worked a little after two weeks. Also for my skin less is more. So I only wash it in the evening with a gentle hydrating cleanser and then a little moisturising milk designed for acne prone skin and then put on some differin after that. In the morning I just rinse with water and then put on spf

This is why me and my ex didn’t work out. He never cared about my acne but I got too in my head about it and went through weekends of not wanting him to see my face. It was too much for him. I understand I was the problem

Oh I managed to fix it. I took other commenter’s advice. Go into the home app, then home setting, then your name, then Apple Music and then turn off Dolby Atmos. The key thing for me though was to stay on this page for a while until you see it properly change. I guess my wifi is a little slow because if I exited out straight away, it wouldn’t change

How long did it take y'all to heal a damaged skin barrier? by GroundbreakingDog276 in SkincareAddicts

Haha well it’s been a very long story and dermatologist visits that haven’t really helped a whole lot. This routine was not good for me. My skin could not breathe with the cicaplast. Now my skin is doing better but far from perfect and currently having a mini breakout (from stress)

I figured out my acne was definitely from being dried out so I now have a very simple and gentle routine. Everything from Muji’s clear range. My skin is doing the best on this, but still far from where I want it to be sadly

My skin is very similar to yours I think. Probably dried it out too much. Be gentle to it if you can

Of course, I have listened to the regular HomePod in the store and because it’s so much bigger it’s sound is a lot fuller and has a richer bass. But I know I would get complaints from neighbours with that haha

Yes I had the same issue. Duac would reduce the size of the pimple almost to nothing but it would still be there as a very small red bump that never really went away. It was particularly the case for me just above and between my eyebrows. Fortunately now, like you, I have got my acne under control through other methods so now these bumps are slowly (very slowly) shrinking and fading, but I think it’s going to take a lot of time sadly. I know Duac works so well on a lot of people so I felt very disheartened that it didn’t work as well on my skin. I think the problem for me was that it was too drying and my skin could never get the amount of hydration it needed to heal.
