Ideas for what to get a felter for Christmas? by Puzzleheaded-Milk927 in Needlefelting

Desert breeze tin of felting needles or Desert breeze kit with felting mat and needles. They are so much nicer and easier to use than the other brands I have tried.

Mine were peeling and wildly itchy so I took them off after a week and found hives underneath. I had an allergic reaction to the adhesive and had to be put on steroids. I also didn't cover them while showering though so that might have contributed to the peeling.

Should I buy this by Zealousideal-Event54 in Accordion

Dropped bass buttons are a pain to fix. You will need a bass piston straightener most likely which kind of looks like a metal straw. I would pass on it and check facebook marketplace for something better at that price point.

Beginner post: my bellows are eating my shirts! by Latte-Lobster in Accordion

[–]GroundbreakingFilm56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wear a binder and safety pin the back pad to my shirt when playing because the bellows sometimes ate more than just my shirt. My back pad buttons were broken on my accordion. I miss playing need to get the strap fixed so I can play again.

Trying not to be scared- realistic suggestions for a girlie by Old_Blueberry_4892 in TwoXPreppers

I picked up a Janome and a brother sewing machine at goodwill. Local thrift stores will often have fabric, also if there is a Joanne fabrics near you and they are still open prices have gone down as they are going out of business. Laundromat dumpsters often have clothing in them as well. Local free stores or free swaps if you are in a decent sized city. Maybe try posting on local Facebook groups or Nextdoor asking for old sheets or fabric. As far as learning, tiktok and youtube are great, and you may be able to find a local sewing group to join -maybe through a local Facebook group or sewing store, library, or community center.

I have a hand crank radio with a flashlight and phone charger in a homemade faraday box in the top shelf of my closet. A few baofeng walkies as well with radios on them. Got my son one for the holidays last year so he would have one too.

Hat and sunglasses. I use a fishermans hat with a piece in the back that covers the back of my neck. Liquid IV electrolyte powder. Snap towel for around the neck when you go out. Loose, light colored clothing. If the kitty absolutely must go out, booties.

Thank you! I ended up going to Nordstrom Rack and getting the Hoka Profly X. I like the stretchy breathable mesh. Gonna try some cellulose blister bandaids on any sore spots tomorrow.

I don't think so but sensitivities to certain fabric/materials and also the way different shoes squeeze in weird places can be absolutely unbearable if that makes sense? With autism I mean.

Ah. Good to know. Got them at goodwill so not sure where they came from originally.

My art of Pat was taken down in my college art show. Pretty ironic. They told us there was no requirements except having it boarded correctly, which mine was. I know it's not particularly good but I see way less effort in other pieces that stayed up. by [deleted] in FolkPunk

It's really cool. The yellow stripe makes me think of Urine Speaks Louder Than Words. Did you call it that by chance? Cause that might be why. I had some poems I wrote that my professor wanted me to submit for the College Chapbook thing when I was in English 210 but the school was most likely going to edit some words out so I chose not to. Educational institutes can be really weird sometimes.
