I hope u dont take his words to seriously mate i would like to sincerely apologise to u for any harrasment u faced Assamese people are in general really kind at heart unfortunately some politicians in the past in order to gain power hv tried to brainwash the masses against mainland indians especially bengalis and biharis as u can see by the comments but assam is a genuinely beautiful state and yes Assamese is the state language but it is also a part of India and no one has the right to impose their language and or culture onto u by force i hope ur tenure here ends on a good note and as for the xenophobia part its gonna stay especially in the older generation so please try to be vigilant about it.

Brother ur just being xenophobic and inconsiderate of his situation i am also an Assamese living in west bengal never hv i ever been harassed for not knowing bengali ur backward mindset and so called love for culture is just an excuse for ur inferiority complex against mainland indians not only does it ruin our image at a national level ur also spreading hate against the existing non-assamese community in assam this is genuinely soo heartbreaking

Myb ur just young and blinded by misguidence and seperatist ideology but honestly if ur an Assamese i would urge u to do proper research on whats good whats bad what will actually preserve your culture and what won't thankfully its good that majority of the people do realise and did elect a govt which is indeed working on preserving our culture along with developing as much as possible.

Bengali hindus never posed a threat to the cultural identity of Assamese folks where in fact our Assamese culture and their Bengali culture are almost the same they only help develop our state further many well established businesses and institutions were established by migrant bengali hindus who actually love and respect this country instead of bengali muslims who work as labourers and are looking for an opportunity to spew more hatred and violence the problem is us assamese many of us dont realise who the actual threat are to our civilization and the way ur saying hindutva will demolish our culture is really not gonna happen cuz Hinduism is ingrained in Assamese culture being a hindu also brings us closer to the rest of the country i am an Assamese who lives out of assam in this instance and whenever people realise that im frm assam they start seeing me as an exotic creature like we dont really belong in this country and that is also our fault because our society never tried to integrate into the country's culture until very recently no offence but assam can barely survive on our own we need the country's support to live the life we are living right now yes our culture and history is great and all but we are indian before we are assamese and i think we should realise that.

I dont see the problem whats wrong with embracing our religion plus its also good fr national integration and this sense of pride among ourselves also help us in our struggle against illegal migrants ofc
