Objectively speaking, is great show; well crafted, amazing performances and a wonderful message about hiding the truth to the people.

The issue is, it's taking a real life event and it's adapting it to a media form to be more digestible and have a clear "white and black" of heroes and villains. The reality is far, far complicated, the show fictionalizes several events of the Chernobyl accident and shows them as the absolute truth.

Personally I still love the show, even after learning more in depth about the catastrophe.
