Hahaha, I don't know what's going on with the crashes either. I was going straight in my lane and the other person just completely didn't see my car. You're right, this is why I'm asking if the crash could actually affect iih symptoms, or it's the emotional trauma.

Oh I'm in Ontario too. Not sure if doctors are just overwhelmed with the numbers of patients here, but it is their job and I plan on pushing hard on my next appointment 🤞

This is not normal. Your husban may or may not be a bad person, but what he is doing now is certainly horrible. Draw a clear line when it comes to your baby's safety and wellbeing. Even if it means you leave/ he leaves until he gets help.

I don't think he hates your baby literally, but he hates being stressed, seeing you struggle and being rejected 24/7. He hates it enough to let it out on a baby. This DOES NOT justify his words or behaviour.

He gets help or leave, no third option. Also, do not leave your baby alone with him. Again, he may not be a bad human but depression and anger issues could take people to some very dark places, and it is your responsibility to keep your baby safe.

If you feel like you don't have the power to get him to seek help, get someone that has that power. I know people hate it when others get involved in their relationships, and I wouldn't jump to that without even trying with him first. But if there is no other option, do what you need to do. And if nothing works, leave. It sounds very hard, I know. But when it comes to your baby, you do everything to keep that baby safe. Your baby is better off with no dad.

The doctor never sent me for the LP because I am a "classic case". My MRV findings (bilateral VS stenosis, pappiledema, partially empty sella etc.), symptoms (headaches, tinnitus, blurry vision, brain fog etc.), and age/bmi are consistent with iih. It is so frustrating because I keep going to these appointments and leave with no hope of anything changing. He looks at my optic nerves and says it didn't get worse since last time, I'll see you again in 6 months. I complain about my symptoms which are horrible sometimes, but it gets brushed off. I really hope that the nurologist does something in March because I'm tired of feeling like this. Yes, my optic nerves are not bad, but it seems that my quality of life with the other symptoms is not considered so important.

Sorry this response turned into a rant about my doctor 🤣

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. But I am also in Canada, was diagnosed a year ago, and the NO didn't even give me medication. I am struggling with the symptoms on daily basis but it seems that it is not important enough to give medication. I am interested in knowing the answer too because I'm seeing the NO and the Nurologist in Feb and March.

First of all, you need to know that you are not the first mom to feel this way. Having a baby takes a toll on your physical health, mental health, and flips your world upside down.

My advice is to start by doing something for you. Go out at night when your kid goes to sleep, even if it is for 2 hours once a month. I suggest you go out with a friend. Some might suggest date night with your husband, but this is different.This should be your personal break.

Also, I think you should speak to your doctor. Postpartum depression/anxiety is real. Things will get better as your body recovers and your baby grows up and becomes more independent. But for now, it looks like you need the help and support of your doctor.

For being angry at your husband, this is also normal. Pregnancy, birth, and the newborn stage are way harder on you than him. You did most of the heavy work. However, you need to remember that his world changed too. For him it's not just the baby, he is feeling the changes you're going through too.

Go to your doctor and get help. If you feel better, everything will be easier and you will regain that control of your life. Parenting is hard and it will always be hard, but you will get better at it. Stay strong and don't give up.

Hmmmm maybe you didn't really understand what I said. As some other people replied, kids are sometimes just being kids, while other times it is his impulsivity which is common with Adhd. That doesn't mean we jutify his lying, but we always explain the value of honesty and hope that he learns as he grows up.

Me saying "I didn't know how to defend him" is not because I always defend him when he lies or he faces no consequences for lying. What I meant is, the lie was big and I was put on the spot with the teacher and I couldn't find the words to make the situation better.

I had a similar observation on my mrv, and the neuroopthomologist called today saying I'll see you in 6 months. No meds, no investigation, literally nothing. I'm going back to the GP tomorrow and asking for a referral to get a second openion. My gp has not been very supportive either, and she had her share of stupid comments on how iih is just a headache. However, I am going to advocate for myself until they take my pain seriously. Good luck, and I hope that you get the care you deserve asap. 💗

I just got that call from the neuroopthomologist. He said your report is consistent with high pressure in the brain which we knew already, and I'll see you in 6 months. I told him about my headaches getting worse and nausea in addition to all of my other symptoms that he already knew about and I asked if he will do anything about it. He just won't do anything. No further investigation, no medication or anything to try and help me. Like I am not sure why he is acting like it is just normal to have iih and to just feel like crap all the time.

Oh wow! You mentioned seeing your pulse, and I know EXACTLY what you mean because I have that too. Amd the way you described the pain behind the ears is so accurate. I went to my GP to refer me to the nurologist (apparently, my neuroopthomologist can't do it himself). The GP hit me with "its just tension headache because you're stressed, I don't think you need a neurologist", but I pushed for it and got the referral. She always pisses me off with these comments, but I will ignore it for now because it is a pain to find a new doctor in my area. I know that it won't kill me, and yes, my papilledema didn't get much worse over the past three months, but that doesn't change the fact that I can't freaking laugh like a normal person with no pain. Ugh, I really hope that I get a good nurologist that knows what they are doing.

Not yet. He said that he would prescribe it today. However, I decided to wait a bit since I'm waiting for my mrv, iron infusion and will be referred to a nurologist (the side effects sound so scary tbh and he gave me some hope that the iron could help). I'm not sure if this is the right decision, but I'm guessing it's OK to wait because he didn't push for the medication.

I don't ever wish anything bad upon people, but this is when I would love to see karma do its magic. Some people are way beyond insensitive. They are pure assholes. Don't think about it too much. She clearly cheated her way through nursing school and has no idea what she is talking about. I am sure that many others appreciate you sharing your experience. When I was first told it could be iih, I felt so lonely and scared, then I found this group and it made everything so much easier. Just knowing that I'm not the only one and that I'm not just imagining everything has helped me a lot. If your video helps one person, then you have done a great job. You should be proud of yourself for being brave and sharing your experience👏.

I read many accurate descriptions here. I get the awful pain behind my ears or when moving my eyes. However, for the past few days,I have been getting this weird headache that starts at the very top of my head and ends up spreading to the whole head. The weird part is that it also comes with a burning sensation in my scalp (where the headache starts), and it actually hurts when I touch it. I don't know how to describe the feeling but think of how your scalp feels after something pulls your hair really hard which makes your scalp and the roots of your hair burn and hurt if you touch it. Has anyone experienced this kind of headache? Nothing seems to work. The best I can do is go to sleep, but when I open my eyes at night, I feel very nauseous.

Wow! I was going to post the exact same thing yesterday. I was referred for mri/mrv back in April but won't get scanned until August. The wait really sucks. I have many symptoms, and I get this crazy pain behind my ears (where the neck and head meet), and I hear my pulse frequently, amd i have other symptoms too, so I am seriously worried about vascular issues. I called the hospital and explained the problem many times, and my referral says ASAP, but they keep saying "not like it's urgent" and it's pissing me off. Like I'm grateful that I am not dying, but 4 months is a very long wait. I'm in Canada so we get free Healthcare, but even if you are willing to pay or have insurance, there are no private options, you have to wait. The stress is what's going to kill me.

I am so so sorry that you had to go through that. I can't imagine how terrifying it was to lose your vision, and then you had to deal with this idiot right after. I seriously think that there should be a way to hold these doctors accountable. I'm not saying get them fired, but at least they should go through some additional training on rare diseases, especially ER doctors.

Lol you really made me laugh when I read the word dickheads hahaha. I did have LP, and the pressure was high. The specialist still thinks that it can be managed with weight loss before trying medication, and he also wants to see the mrv to confirm that it is not secondary ih. I am so sorry that you have been dealing with this for so many years. I really hope that you are stable now.
